Is anyone else getting the not genuine vibe from this couple? I hope I'm wrong, but it feels like a calculated "It's a good time for a wedding" move. Deflect from the Epstein thing. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

They have been dating for awhile, there have been rumors of an impending engagement for months. It could even be that she has announced her engagement now because she takes precedence over her sister, and perhaps her sister has a pregnancy to announce in the near future. |

DH and I married 3 months shy of our 21st birthdays, 32 years ago. Trust me, I have no cynical view of love. I was only commenting, from an amateur at best photographers view, based on the the couples I've photographed. The pictures they shared remind me more of Charles and Diana, than the modern Royals photos, or anyone I've photographed obviously in love. I will say it again, I hope I'm wrong. |

As a photographer, I see a young woman who’s uncomfortable in front of the camera because she’s not photogenic, and she knows it.
This girl has had unflattering pics of her taken both in private and public plastered all over the world, and been ridiculed for her looks with no thought given to the real person she is or the hurt she would feel.
Not every couple, no matter how in love, is able to fully relax for photos.
I wish them well.

This girl has had unflattering pics of her taken both in private and public plastered all over the world, and been ridiculed for her looks with no thought given to the real person she is or the hurt she would feel. I'm more aware of pictures of her unflattering dress sense than her looks. Apparently Eugenie took the photos, not a professional...maybe she didn't manage to capture the best moments. As for distracting from the Epstein connection bothmykidsrbrats - I think it'd take more than a minor royal's engagement to do that. |

Engagement photos are awk in general. Your photographer is putting you in poses you wouldn’t usually do, naturally. And usually, you’re cracking up behind the scenes with your fiancé.
I don’t think she looks any more awkward than most “normal” couples do here. shrug.

I personally don't think you can tell much from engagement or wedding photos. I've seen lots of wedding photos of celebrity couples who look head over heels in love and then you read they are separated within a year.
Given that he has a son, I'm glad they dated for a long time before becoming engaged. Children are a blessing, but they also complicate matters and their welfare has to be taken into account when making major decisions like getting married.

I hope it’s broadcast because I love watching royal weddings! Me too! When Eugenie got married I made a little tea party breakfast for DH and I, and for Harry & Meghan's wedding, there was so much coverage that we had tea party breakfast and lunch that day! |

I wish them well!! I am so ready for another royal wedding.
I do think she looks ill at ease in all of her pictures. She's been criticized for her looks to her clothes to Prince Andrew wanting them to be treated like blood royal children. I'd look ill at ease when ever I'm in the public eye also.
