Aaargh, I just cannot find my mojo this month! I think I used it all up in Sketchtember. I really miss having a daily sketch to inspire me. I've made up a few digital templates from other sketches I've saved, but I just cannot find the energy to choose photos or papers. I'm just sitting here wasting time doing some on-line window shopping. Ugh.

I have several of the sketches from last month kitted up with photos, all I have to do is start lol. I miss the daily sketches too. Even though I don't do nearly all of them, it still feels a little like Christmas morning with something to look forward to

I've been card making like a mad woman. I kitted up 6 layouts for a crop this weekend so hopefully I'll actually get them done. Work has been a &*%&*(* the last couple of weeks. I've come home and fallen asleep in my recliner. Can't scrap much when I'm sleeping!!
I hope you all are well.

I've been mostly absent from here, just checking in quickly to see what everyone else is doing, but I organized all my Christmas supplies the other day, and then I started cutting papers up to make cards. I have backgrounds/bases ready for at least 72 cards, so we'll see how many I can crank out this week! They'll be pretty simple - patterned paper + die cuts or stickers, but it's Doodlebug so they'll be cute and fun.
My laptop will be back today, and hopefully fixed this time. I've been in the mood to try digi scrapping with more paper/elements, or maybe even to do paper scrapping - eek! but I think I just caught that from watching too much scrappy YT. No time anyway - I need to make cards!
I was distracted by getting the laptop fixed, needing to read a book for book group, and trying to get some gardening done before the rain set in today, so now that that's all out of the way I should be good to go!

I've managed to catch up on the Cardtober challenges through today (and racked some nice points in the process). Hoping to make a few more simple cards from some cut-aprt sheets I bought specifically for cards...need to make dinner and wash dishes first. Thank goodness for a husband who, when I told him I hadn't done any chores, said "it's okay, you were busy today"

Have almost finished adding up points for what I have completed so far. Was going to make cards today, but got frustrated looking for stuff in my messy scraproom, so spent most of the day putting things away and clearing off some space. Found my corner rounder, my water colour paints, and $75 worth of coupons from a LSS in Edmonton! (I always bring home the coupons and leave them in my scraproom, and then when I shop there I don't have any. I can use coupons for up to HALF of my next purchase. Gramma needs to go SHOPPING next time I am in the city!)
Also started kitting up some stuff for the LSS crop the last weekend of the month--found some papers and supplies that go with my photos. Found space in my die cabinet for some of the new dies I purchased this last month. Still need to put away sorted stuff on one scrap counter, but I feel more relaxed in here.
This next Saturday I have a mixed media class and I will print the photos from this last weekend. Lots of fall themed pic's and then the snowman building! (Snow is mostly gone now, but it certainly was a wake up call that Winter is on its way).

You ladies have been Busy!! And sounds like getting lots of points to make up for me lol. I can't wait to see everything. I need to get over to the sharing thread. I've been sleeping a lot this week as I'm just exhausted. I think from the seasons changing. grammadee you NEED to shop! Is there a shopping challenge this month? I know there is a NO shopping challenge thanks for that joblackford, I have been earning points that way and I am attempting to do a lot less shopping. If my shopping had to match my output, I wouldn't be shopping but once or twice a year lol.

grammadee, your cleaning up your scrap room is inspiring. Mine is such a mess because I hurry to make a card each day and don't get around to putting things away. I am amazed at how many new techniques I have tried this month. I have actually stamped and enjoyed it and just had fun finding things in my room that were being forgotten. joyfulnana, I hope you begin feeling yourself soon. I get hayfever as the seasons change and it knocks me down. Take it easy. I hope you are able to spend some time doing something creative. That always perks me up. I don't have tons of points this month because I have only done one layout. I don't manage to get many points on the cards, but I have loved making them and trying new things. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Oh my goodness you guys! I've been trying to get caught up on commenting and you have been busy! And I'm so inspired! I have to make cookie dough before I can get scrap tonight. Or maybe I should scrap tonight and make cookie dough in the morning nylene your cards are so beautiful and I can see by the share thread you are starting to feel better linda. Yay! I'm feeling better today and I think while I have just a bit of Friday night mojo I'm going to see where it takes me!

joyfulnana - yes feeling better, thank goodness and back to scrapping. Glad that you are on the mend as well. I was supposed to go camping this weekend with DD13 but she stayed home from school yesterday with a GI complaint so no camping. Given how rainy and windy it has been thanks to Nestor - I'm not too heartbroken about staying inside. Trying to finish up my September 2018 pics so I can move on to October...just have a few more layouts from DH's business trip to go...they aren't as fun to scrap as kid pictures unfortunately so slow going

Hello - I have been crazy busy this month and not getting a lot done or even looking at the shares here. I am going to try to go page by page to look at what people are doing. I have been working on some signs for the parents of the poms teams to wave when they are competing in the next month and a half. They have been a bigger undertaking than I thought. LOL! But I hope to finish tonight. Then I am going to try to get some scrapping or cards done. My husband is out of town from Friday morning to Tuesday night, so hopefully I can get a lot done then. But, like AussieMeg, I am missing the sketches this month.

Whew! Caught up on commenting, I think, except for on the CARDtober threads. So much creativity!
This week I need to focus on getting packed up for our weekend crop. Found out this afternoon that one of my appointments has been postponed a couple of weeks, so that gives me an extra day. Originally, I had planned to create some fall backgrounds at home so I wouldn't be worried about packing up wet media or having space to dry papers at the crop. Then I thought I had run out of time. Now I have an extra day, so I might end up doing that tomorrow and then packing on Wednesday. Have some new Vicki Boutin crayons I want to play with... Hmmm...
My Autumn tub has been pulled down from the top shelf. Not sure if I will lug the whole thing with me to the crop or simply select the elements I want to pack. Have to look for my fall leaf stamps and dies tomorrow.

Thanks for all the comments grammadee Good luck preparing for your crop. I'm hoping to get some scrapping done this week because life starts getting busier soon. Friday is my oral surgery - it's a 2hr drive (downsides to being rural is no local specialists) and I have to be there at 745am - yawn! I don't know how up to scrapping I'll be this weekend...Then there's basketball tryouts on Mon, Tues is DS's birthday (he'll be 28 - wow), and then Halloween and I leave to visit my mum on 2nd (through the 10th). I won't be joining a team in Novemeber I don't think because between the trip and preparing my house for Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving and starting to think about Advent/Christmas prep...I'm not sure I can fit in much scrapping

Hi! Just checking in! I've actually been scrapbooking a lot, but just haven't taken the time to come back and post here and calculate my points. I am always too afraid to log on because then I'll get distracted by all the posts and stop scrapping! So far I'm just scrapping my latest pics but haven't tried to fulfill any challenges specifically, but I want to because last month it was so much fun and really helped to kick start my mojo again. I'm so behind on trying comment on all the layouts, I feel bad I'm not keeping up, so much so that I didn't post may layouts last month for that reason. I still want to participate though so I will try and post more thanks for all the inspiration ladies, I do love playing along!

oh yvonne - no worries if you can't comment on all (or even any) layouts - comments are nice but we're all busy and we get that. Please DO post your layouts - each posted layout is more inspiration for the rest of us (plus you earn a point for sharing)

That's okay to do?

That's okay to do? Yes I believe that's the easiest way to do it and that adding photos that way doesn't take space on the boards the way adding attachments on a desktop does. So you should be good! I'm looking forward to seeing what you've been working on, even though I too haven't been commenting much this month. I love seeing everything though

And certainly we like to see what you have been scrapping! If you get time to comment, great, but I find seeing other people's creations really inspiring so I will forego your comments on mine if I can see yours LOL.

Man, I have been down for the count this week! Had a flu/cold bug. The fever is gone but the cold part remains lol. I hope your oral surgery went well linda! You are going to be busy next month! I probably couldn't fit in any scrapping either! oh yvonne I haven't been to the share thread yet, but I hope you are going to post your layouts! My mojo is gone out the door this month. I'm not going to have many points, but it's still inspiring to see all that you ladies are doing!

Glad to hear you're feeling better joyfulnana! I've just spent 2, maybe 3 hours, trying to figure the points on my cards for the month. I haven't even gotten into trying to figure out the cardtober challenge points - so many challenges this month! So glad to have access to the spreadsheet to speed the process up a little bit. Before that I was working on some thankful for friends cards, but I was getting a bit overwhelmed and stressed. Some cards are so easy and fun but some feel like WORK. I'm not sure if stamping and heat embossing is worth the trouble sometimes! (and yet I just ordered gold embossing powder). I made some progress and I think the cards will turn out fine. I might just be hormonally unbalanced today. My desk area is such a mess now. I think I need to tidy up before I do anything else. I found some new inspiration for cardmaking called a Sheetload of Cards by Call me Crafty Al - a bit like the One Sheet Wonders, I guess. It's a YT series with a supply list and guide to making 6 or 12 easy cards using a few sheets of 12x12 paper and some cardstock. Here's one of the videos - this is actually the Z fold card I've been working on - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgNqpwT6apg but some of the others are even more straightforward, very good for beginners. I hope everyone has a good week. Only a few more days left in the month!

Thanks for the link, joblackford. I need to start Christmas cards soon. Glad you are feeling well enough to craft, joyfulnana. I am leaving Thursday morning for weekend with dgk’s, so I have 3 days to post 14 two pagers and 3 single pages from this weekend’s crop. And add up my points. Don’t think they are really point heavy— I was in get-er-done mode. Hoping to upload some each day Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. That should be it for me this month except for my sample for Thursday’s CARDtober.

On the road tomorrow through Monday. Don't forget to get your points in to joyfulnana. If you are going for the 50 point CARDtober bonus, you have until Sunday to complete all the cards. Just shared the last of my pages and my CARDtober card. Calculated my points. 1292.
