So here we go joblackford, AussieMeg, oh yvonne, lynnek, nylene, @chirstinec68, Dictionary, scrapnnana, linda, sleepingbooty, KikiPea, buggirl47! This is my first time leading a team so I'm asking forgiveness now for any rookie mistakes! I would hold a vote about doing this through PM or chat thread, but I know in the past everyone seemed to prefer a chat thread, so we'll try this. What's everyone working on this month? I'm going to be working on the sketches from SKETCHtember and hoping to see a few cards easy enough to lift from CARDtober. I'm not a card maker but the cards I've seen posted in the sharing thread have me thinking of giving it a real go. I have several sketches and page kits put together from last month, but I didn't get to them, so that's my goal this month. I know linda managed all of the sketches last month, did anyone else do the 2peasrefugees version of LOAD and do them all as well? And just an FYI - I hope no feels any kind of pressure to get a lot of points. I average around 200 a month since I'm such a slow scrapper. (some months I don't hit 100!) It's all for the fun of creating!

Thanks for stepping up and leading us! I'm not a fan of doing everything in PMs so yay, I like your first decision as team leader.
I'm one of the hosts for CARDtober. Last year I made lots of cards for the challenges and TBH I got a bit burned out, so this year I'm going to take it a little bit slower. I am a card maker primarily, and "professionally" (I have an Etsy shop) so I need to pace myself. But I usually get most of my points by going on a card making rampage.
I do a little bit of digital scrapbooking, but since my MacBook needs to go BACK to hospital because they didn't fix one of the problems it had when it went to hospital last month (under warranty) I probably won't be getting much scrapping done.
For now I have to go roast some broccoli and then come back here and post tomorrow's challenge!

Hello All!
I like having this chat thread, although as a team member for only the second month, I don’t know any different.
I am not a card maker, but I do love a challenge, so I will be trying my hand at a few card challenges. Other than that, I have a few more sketches from September that I would like to do. Also, some past Project Life weeks to work on.

Thanks for being our fearless leader!
I won’t be doing much over the next couple of weeks due to our upcoming vacation. Maybe since I’ve already started pulling stuff out to pack (2weeks early! LOL), I can make some time to play a little. Then, I’m hoping to have some awesome stuff to scrap when we get back!

Thanks for stepping up into the team leader role! I got a lot done in September, and I don’t expect to be able to get quite as much done this month. It helped that I had a week off work in September. I want to get at least one Project Life layout done each week, as well as some more of my Viet Nam photobook pages. Then whatever else takes my fancy.

Thank you for volunteering as our team leader!
I'm hoping to do all the card prompts - but we'll have to see. I'm not much of a card maker - and stick to easy, simple designs usually.
Hoping to keep working on layouts as well.

Thanks for being our team leader! I don't have specific goals this month. I'd like to start working on Christmas cards and line up any unfinished projects but I'll probably just work on the pictures I printed out over the weekend.

I always say I'm going to finish the school albums for my adult kids or work on my Christmas album. But somehow I end up working on the newest or most inspiring photos I have. And those two projects for some reason don't inspire lol

Well I have done more than my fair share of cardmaking but took a hiatus in April as I went to England for 2 weeks and honestly when I got back stopped and focuses on my sewing for my etsy shop. When my friend nudge me to do the layout challenges I questioned myself but honestly it have me the spark I needed so going to try and do some cards his month as well. But wouldn't you know it I have a wedding Oct4-6th so there goes any fun then. Oh well

I'm busy all weekend too which is my main scrapping time and I'm kinda bummed about it! lol. I haven't touched anything since the middle of September. I would like to see if I can find a couple cards to scraplift from the card challenge. But no double dip points for me this weekend.

I made a bunch of cards today! 22 I think They're all patterned paper, no stamping or anything fancy - very simple but they came out well. I'll try to take photos and share them tomorrow.

Happy Friday Team!! I worked on a layout last night - it mostly just needs a title and probably some enamel dots because what page couldn't use a dot or two? I went with the monochromatic birth stone challenge to use pink and OH BOY!! is it pink! I don't think we are doing anything tonight so I should be able to finish that and at least start another page. joblackford wow with the 22 cards!! Dictionary yay for getting back to card making! joyfulnana I hope you can squeeze in some scrappy time!

I sometimes can squeeze in editing photos at work, but I have a bust and kind of short day today so that probably won't happen, however, we don't have a lot going on this weekend, so I am hoping for some scrapping time. I started a few Christmas cards so I need to finish those and then get on with scrapping.

Happy Friday!
October has gotten off to a rather slow start for me scrapping-wise - between not feeling 100% most of the week and DD's birthday yesterday, both my housework and scrapping got neglected.
Plan is to catch up the house this morning and hopefully squeeze a little scrapping in this afternoon before I cook dinner and go grocery shopping. I don't think we have many weekend plans so I'll hopefully get to scrap then as well.

Hello ladies!
I'm still nursing myself back to health (and got a sore throat + stuffy nose in the process, daheck). I am struggling with finishing the cards I've managed to make for Cardtober so far because my heavyweight cardstock order hasn't arrived yet. Do you ladies think it'd be ok if I posted the completely finished front panels of the cards instead? All that's missing is the actual card base (which doesn't interfere with the design or point total)...
Happy weekend!

I say heck yes! Post the fronts sleepingbooty! I don't think anyone will hold it against you that your cardstock order hasn't come yet. Sorry you've been sick. I hate colds so much. They hang on forever. At least with a bug it's usually gone in a day or two. Happy belated birthday to your DD linda! christinec68 I can't wait to see your LO! joblackford I love your cards. They really make me want to dip my toe into cardmaking! I have a wedding later today and an early morning bday party tomorrow then the rest of the day is mine and I'm looking forward to it. Maybe I can get something started before I leave for the wedding. If I manage to get my rear in gear and get some other not fun cleaning chores done lol. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a nice weekend! Mine was nice & easy! Friday night, my husband met me by the train for happy hour and some appetizers. Saturday, he worked and I went to my nephew's soccer game, Sunday was errand/chore day and we tried to see that Ad Astra movie. Well, we went but didn't like it at all and left. I was falling asleep and he was barely hanging in there. ha! The easy pace meant lots of scapping time so finished up 3 pages and have a 4th in progress. I'll probably get back to that one tomorrow night. lynnek were you able to finish up the Christmas cards? linda I hope you are back to feeling 100% and that you are feeling caught up. sleepingbooty I hope you're feeling better too. Did you cardstock order arrive yet? FWIW, I think it's fine to post the card front as you said..that's where all the work is. joyfulnana how was the wedding?

I got some cards done on Saturday but felt wiped out and went to bed early. Woke up several hours later with a terrible toothache - so yesterday was shot. Tooth is fine today but my gum and lymph nodes are swollen and I look like a one-sided chipmonk...seeing the dentist soon Hopefully I can get back to scrapping soon

christinec68 Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Ad Astra is getting some poor "sleep-inducing" reviews... Sorry you had to experience it yourself. Congrats on getting so many pages done (and one more on the way). Linda Crap! That doesn't sound fun at all. I hope the dentist fixes you up ASAP so you can go back to living a normal, not one-sided chipmunk life. Wishing you a swift and easy recovery! I'm slowly starting to feel better. Definitely several steps up from last week. No more fever, no more sore muscles! But my immune system took a hit and I'm stuck with a cold and a sore throat now. Not sure where I picked that up since I barely left the apartment. I guess it only takes a walk to the bakery or visit to the doctor, right? I'm working from home right now and will likely be back at my usual desk by the end of the week. Huzzah! How is everyone this Monday?

Thanks sleepingbooty - I have a prescription for antibiotics, an ice pack (for a variety of medical reasons, I can't take most painkillers), and a referral to an oral surgeon for extractions, sigh. Of course the oral surgeon isn't in network for my dental plan so I need to call and get a different referral. Glad that you're on the mend.

Happy Tuesday! My weekend didn't quite go according to plan - as if it ever does lol. The wedding was beautiful!! Her mother (my sister) didn't cry, but I did which is so weird. I don't usually cry at weddings lol. It was good to see some extended family too. Sunday was a 9AM bday party at SkyZone trampoline park. That was fun and just straight up crazy to be there so early lol. DGS wanted to come hang out Sunday afternoon so no scrapping for me after all. But I have a long weekend this week so I'm hoping to get something done and on the board this month! christinec68 that sucks about the movie. Yay for a nice, easy weekend and scrapping! linda I hope you feel better soon and that you can get into the dentist ASAP! @sleepybooty being able to work from home on occasions like this instead of using PTO is a win! I hope you are back at your desk soon! joblackford thank you so much for your detailed description for how you make your cards! Cards are going to go on my list or the weekend! Hope everyone one is having a good week! Mine is going to be pretty quiet (I hope) lol

Oh boy, sorry to hear about your dental issues Linda - that sounds miserable, and then having to deal with referrals and insurance nonsense on top of that... sigh. christinec68 we were going to go see Ad Astra this weekend. We always miss out on seeing the space movies on the big screen. Still haven't seen Gravity. But I guess our procrastination paid off in this case. We can save our $12-22 for something less snooze-worthy. I'm going to see Abominable today (it's Tightwad Tuesday, $6 movie day!) joyfulnana the only time I've ever been to a trampoline park was first thing in the morning! Glad to hear the wedding went well. Hope you enjoy your scrappy long weekend coming up. I've been pushing myself, making tons of cards, mostly to get over a weird creative block I was having. But also because I have to send my laptop back to hospital again and if I don't get the pictures of my Halloween cards edited and posted to my shop I'm going to be a bit late to actually sell any of them this year. I'm already woefully behind, thanks to that aforementioned block. I'm still making Halloween cards to sell - very last minute! Oh well. I keep trying to tell myself it's all for fun anyway (I'm not doing this to put food on the table, thank goodness!) And ditto with feeling very behind on fall gardening. No one is going to starve! The garden won't even be ugly. All the pressure is in my head. Although the stress about the stupid laptop not getting fixed properly and the warranty running out soon feels pretty real.

linda - UGH!! I have the worst teeth and hate dental issues! I can totally feel for you! Hope you get it taken care of soon! My youngest was home sick yesterday and I thought, oh good, I will get some scrapping done, but nope, I sat and finished off the book I was reading. I did sit to try to work on those dang Christmas cards for a bit this morning before work. This weekend just didn't play out for a scrapping time, but we did end up finding new couches to replace the set in our basement which really needed to be gone.

Thanks everyone - antibiotics are kicking in and the swelling/pain are starting to diminish. I see the oral surgeon for a consult on the 18th - luckily he's in town for consults but the actual extractions I'll have to go to their main office about 2 hrs away. And my antibiotics leave a nasty taste in my mouth - yuck!
hopefully I'll be back to scrapping soon

I keep forgetting to check in here. I am keeping up with the Cardtober but haven't done a page yet this month. I did lots of cards on WCD so those double double points will help. sleepingbooty , are you feeling better? Linda , I am so sorry about your tooth. I have broken part off the crown on my front tooth and they can't fix it until next Wed. Not fun to be a snaggle-tooth! lynnek , sorry you had a sickie home. I hope he/she is better now. I hate this weather change time of year. It seems to bring lots of colds and flu. joyfulnana , the wedding sounds nice. I always tear up at weddings. I'm sure your DGS enjoyed hanging out with you. joblackford, you really kept me scratching my head today. Your challenges are REAL challenges. Thanks for the stretch! I hope to keep up with the cards and do a few layouts this month. We will see how it goes.

Ugh to dental issues! I hope you are back to good soon linda and nylene. lynnek I hope your little one is feeling better! But yay for new furniture! I totally relate to lynnek and joblackford on not scrapping when you have the time or not feeling it. I haven't scrapped since mid-September and here I am with 3 days off and I'm procrastinating getting started. I feel like I get blocked like that when I'm not scrapping every week. It just can't seem to get going again. But I AM going to scrap something today! I have black bean and lentil chili on for dinner - it's so cold here today and perfect chili weather, and I have no excuse not to start on something lol. This is my only free weekend this month so I really want to get on the board with some points!

Hello TEAM! No crafting going on this weekend--except cooking and a project I want to do with my dgs--b/c it is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and dd & her family are here until Monday. Other people coming for turkey dinner on Sunday. I have started uploading the pages I created while at dd's doing grandparenting last week. Have a couple more LO's to upload. Still need to calculate the points for each of them. I also completed a two pager for a LOAD sample for Monday, so will be able to share that here after that. Tuesday, dh has commitments away from home, so I am hoping I can do some scrapping &/or cardmaking then. Loving all the cards I have been seeing for the CARDtober challenges. But my scraproom has a huge mess of scrapbook PAGE supplies out, and if I start card making I think I will need to clean it up first. Unless I do the Mad Hatter thing and just move to a different room in the house for card making... Hmmm...

I finally got my monster set of cards done, so my desk is ready for something this weekend. And my kids have Monday and Tuesday off, so hoping I can get busy on something!! Good luck to you too joyfulnana!
