I’m breaking up with Facebook. I mainly only use it for crafting groups. What are some alternatives (other than here, of course) for scrapbookers and crafters to interact and get inspiration?
I’m not a fan of Pinterest. Actually hate the site, so that’s not an option. I’m trying to get back into Instagram but are there other places y’all visit?

Great question. I ditched Facebook at the beginning of the year. The groups are the only thing I miss. Right now I just use Instagram but I feel like I may ditch that before too long.

You both could have a private account on FB where you are unsearchable, and only use it for the groups.

Instagram. I created a separate profile from my regular one (where I follow family + friends) that is only for following creative people. I also have it set where certain crafty hashtags show up in my feed as well. There is a recent post on this board where people shared their craft instagrams profiles. You could start there.

Instagram is the place to be for scrappy posts right now, paperamy. The nice thing is that you will still be able to follow most accounts you're interested in without the app or logging in. Just use your web browser in private mode and have a clickable list of links of your faves to check up on once in a while (through Evernote or such).

I’ve deactivated my Facebook but haven’t talked myself into deactivating my Instagram. Even though it’s the same company, I’m having a hard time letting go of Instagram. I know I should, based on the way I feel about Zuck...but I’m still hesitant.

Instagram. I have 2 accounts. One that is private and where I follow family and friends as well as favorite chefs, shih tzus, and crafters. Then another that is photography only. That one is open because I do not post photos of my kids.

Instagram, like others have said I also have two seperate accounts. I have a private one for friends and family and then I have a crafty one where I post mainly crafty stuff, I figured my non crafty people don't care about paper pads and handmade cards and my crafty pals don't care about what I cooked for dinner or my kids crazy antics.

For the “get inspiration” part, I still check out the gallery at scrapbook.com.

Kristin from the Awesome Ladies Project just launched an alternative community to share crafty things. She wanted to create a space that is free from ads and tracking and the like. I admit I haven't used the site yet (I'm a member), but I love the idea and it's on my list to check-out. theawesomeladiesproject.com We use some data analytics from cell phone tracking at work and I'll tell you it's completely fascinating and creepy as hell. Opened my eyes to how much we are being tracked an exploited by multiple entities.

The YouTube videos can be good. I too dislike Pinterest. I think a lot of FB users have deactivated due to Zuckerberg and the company’s policies. I use FB but I can tell a lot of my friends have stopped using it. I never was interested in Instagram.

I broke up w/spying Mark in 2013 and it's fine. Still love Youtube and IG w/bogus emails (though I'm sure they track my IP) and I delete any facebook cookies as soon as they try to land on my machine.

I still follow blogs and watch youtube videos. I track everything using Feedly (free version). I created groupings for Scrapbooking, Card Making, Art Journaling, Youtube videos (as well as fitness & cooking). Feedly gives me one place to go and see new activity.
I still have my Instagram account because I do enjoy just scrolling through the pictures. I gave up on Facebook for all the reasons already mentioned above. I also still browse Pinterest when I am looking for something specific.

I'm no help for you... the crafting groups I visit are pretty much the ONLY reason I keep a Facebook account active. I VERY rarely post anything on my personal page, I NEVER check out my timeline for stuff my friends post, and I never visit ads or use Facebook Marketplace.
I do follow quite a few scrappers on Intagram and I will search out particular hashtags. I absolutely *hate* Pinterest now, with all the ads.
eta: I see that you don't want to use Facebook at all... good points as to why.

I was never on Facebook anyway. I am on Instagram though and scrapwise I follow some of the companies I like and a few crafters. I also look at the galleries here and on other sites. That plus the conversations here are provide plenty of inspiration for me.

I don't want to participate in social media, lol.
Inspiration- Instagram, YouTube, Blogging and even Tumblr. I do use Pinterest but mainly just to pin things I don't want to lose or keep track of my collections so I won't buy doubles on things like games, dolls, etc...
