Wow!! I'm SOOO sorry that I haven't posted yet!! I didn't even realize it was Thursday!! LOL Soooo.... EASY challenge this week! Now, remember, my theme is "Holidays". It can be ANY holiday!! CHALLENGE: Ribbon or twine! See, easy!! I love adding ribbon(or twine) because I feel like it gives that extra little punch of color, and it makes cards seem so much more special. More fancy! lol Here are a couple of examples! Can't wait to see yours! Attachments:

Mel, thanks for the challenge. Your cards are beautiful. That big wide pale pink ribbon and bow are really classy. I love adding ribbon and twine too, so this will be fun.

Awesome cards, Mel, and awesome challenge! Love all the different ways you added twine &/or ribbon. I don't usually add ribbon bows unless I am going to had deliver a card b/c of the added thickness often adds postage costs, but I do add twine to cards on occasion, or flat ribbon. Just need to be reminded!

Sweet cards, Mel, and I appreciate getting an easy challenge. I have more twine than ribbon, so twine works for me. Edited to add: Here is my card. I had lots of twine, just not the color combo I wanted. So I unraveled three different colored twine segments, then twisted the green, orange, and black together to get the colors to match my card. I had to get creative to get them to stay twisted, but I did finally get it to work. Other than the twine, the card is made from scraps and leftovers from previous projects. The little Frankie is a print and cut that I did as a test cut back in September when practicing print and cut with my Cameo. I hadn’t figured out what to do with him till today.

scrapnnana , I love your card. Putting the twine colors together was a great idea. Why have I never thought of that! Your little monster is too cute to be scary. You did a wonderful job with him in print and cut. Love the spiderweb and the 2 different Halloween prints behind him. Totally cute! I chose Thanksgiving for my holiday. Happy Thanksgiving

Thank you, nylene. I think your Thanksgiving card is lovely. The brighter colored circle makes the die-cuts pop, and wrapping the twine around multiple times really catches the eye.
azcrafty, your die cut swag with the music background paper is beautiful.

I had to dig deep to find some ribbon - it's not an embellishment I use very often (and I don't have any twine at all) - so what I found dictated the card. Three of the trees are fussy cut and popped.

Linda, thank you, and I love how you hand cut and popped 3 of your trees to add dimension.

That is a great card, Dictionary! I love how the tree is made of burlap/fabric, with the twine on top.

azcrafty, your card is so pretty. I love the dimension in your holly and pine boughs. Those red berries are perfect. Did you do them on the card or do you make them and let them dry, then attach? I just can't make myself put them directly on the cards. I can't get consistent sizes and I'm afraid I'll mess the whole thing up. This card is marvelous. Linda, I love the idea of fussy cutting a part of the printed background and popping it up. That's a great technique. Your ribbon matches perfectly. Very pretty card.

Thank you nylene your words means a lot to me. I used Nuvo drops and did it on the finished card. I don't think they are perfect but that's how handmade cards should be. You should just go for it and not worry about the size or shape.just have fun!🙂

marg, what fun pumpkins. I love background orange. Is it stamped with a large stamp or is it embossed. It's a great mat. Love the twine and bow.

The background is orange cardstock that I embossed using an embossing folder - some kind of flourish, I've had it for years but don't remember what it's called. I rubbed it with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink - I used a small sponge dauber for that. It was fun to make a Halloween card, it's for my teenage son who is super into Halloween this year, but sad that his Dad will be away for Halloween - he's driving my parents' car down to Florida (from Canada) so that they'll have a vehicle down there for the winter, my mom's back is too bad to drive that far anymore, so they have to fly. Anyway, I hope the card cheers my son up
