www.tru.earth/Store/Tru-Earth-Eco-strips-Laundry-Detergent-FF-32I'm planning to order some later today. I've been looking for ways to severely cut down on the amount of things I purchase in plastic packages and I hate the thick plastic jugs that my liquid laundry detergent comes in. Any experience with these or other eco friendly items for dishwashing/laundry and other soaps? (I actually use Miele tabs that come in a simple paper box for our dishwasher, and I cut them in half.) Thanks!

Wow! I love this idea. I will get some of these and report back too. I don't have a ton of laundry to do, and outside of running and yoga clothes, don't do a lot of loads that would be considered tough to get clean. Thank you for sharing this! I continue to cut packaging and waste from my purchases and realize how much there still is that can be reduced/done away with completely.

Any idea on how effective the product is on really dirty items (men's work jeans)?

I like the idea, but I don't like the price. Unless I did the math wrong it is much more expensive than Tide (my detergent of choice).

I remember trying something similar from another brand several years ago. I started to find little stains on my clothes from the detergent so I stopped using them. I'm sure by now they have perfected the concept.
