They have almost everything from The Stamp Market on sale for 50% off right now! Don't know how long it will last, so check it out fast. Use code PURF5 for $5 off your order.

Thanks for posting! I ordered some things that were on my wish list. I wonder why they are having such a good sale. Some of the stamps are pretty new.

The only thing I can think is that SSS won't be carrying their stuff anymore, but I don't know why. I think The Stamp Market's stuff is awesome and definitely seems to be growing in popularity!

Yep, TSM will no longer be sold wholesale except for certain releases. I placed an order via SSS on the 10th for some more items but grabbed what I could half price today. it’s flying out fast!

Yes, I was shocked when TSM shared the news when I contacted them recently to check which items from their new Christmas release were going to be exclusive to them and which would be available via SSS since it’s a good one stop shop. Sad that it’s going to be exclusive to their online store as it’s not so transparent dealing with international shipping there. I hope my fix via SSS and the Christmas items I picked up via their store will tide me over for a good while to come. Sadly won’t be able justify ordering from them directly on a regular basis. And just when it was looking up for more stores to stock them wholesale.

I think The Scrap Market is fairly new, maybe two years? The owner has been in the industry for many years. I love their stamps and have found the quality of the stamps and dies to be excellent.
Clearly I have no idea what the pro’s and con’s of wholesale is, but I am pretty sure I found out about The Stamp Market from a Ellen Hudson video. So I am sad that those designers will not be using the products as part of jobs for Simon Says Stamp Or Ellen Hudson. I love seeing ideas on social media. Their ideas are always better than mine, lol.

I wonder if it just wasn't as profitable? natty can I ask, have you ordered any of their new cardstock? I did order the pack with all the colors and I was expecting to fall in love with it, but I'm really disappointed with it. The colors are beautiful, but it's thinner than other cardstocks plus it feels kind of "rough" which I don't enjoy. Just wondering if I'm alone in those thoughts. I was really excited to find someone new to buy cardstock from. (FTR, I usually buy cardstock from SSS, PTI or MFT.) Okay, after writing that, I looked up their cardstock and it's listed as 80# while SSS is 100#, so that part is my fault, but it still feels like it has a slight orange peel texture, which I'm not a fan of for cardmaking.

I had that cardstock sampler pack on my wish list at SSS but they never received it from the TSM. I was tempted to add it to my direct TSM order when I got the Christmas release items I wanted. The sampler pack made the estimated shipping go up to $25 (and that was only an estimate - real shipping could be more) so I decided against it. I knew it was 80lb which is fine if using it like paper but I’d disappointed if it wasn’t properly smooth. i would have used it for white heat embossing, but I know from experience with SSS Fog that even the slightest texture can create inconsistent results. PTI cardstock has always been the smoothest, really wish it would be stocked via SSS as it’s totally out of my price range to get it shipped from PTI directly. I’d be interested to hear whether any of TSM colours are similar to other brands you already have in your cardstock collection.

I wanted to check the cardstock from The Stamp Market in the daylight, Natty, so sorry for the delay. I have mostly cardstock from Papertrey Ink and Gina K to compare. I think they (PTI and Gina K) are the same in weight (100lb) and texture, which is quite smooth. I also had a pack of Simon Fog, which is one of my favorite colors. I think that is thinner than PTI or Gina K, but the listing says that it 100lb. It has a slightly rougher texture. The question was the colors. I had nothing in my collection the same. The only color that was close was the brightest green. Even the Melon (orange) color was quite different. I have loads of pinks and I thought for sure I would have something the same but not really. They go together beautifully. I think the pinks and teal are my favorites. I like that they are 80lb as I mostly make cards and things can get thick if you add too many layers. (I usually use a thick white or other neutral for a card base.) Plus my die cutter is on its last legs so the thinner cardstock works better for more intricate dies. I agree with the above poster about the texture. It isn’t orange peel, but it has a rougher texture than the SSS cardstock. I have not tried to emboss on it but I have stamped on it with no issue. I purchased the assorted pack from TSM and I plan to buy more this month while they are offering free shipping. I hope that helps, Natty, and doesn’t just rub it in about the shipping.

I said "almost orange peel" but that wasn't the best choice of words. mrsp is right, it's not orange peel, it just has a slightly rough texture. I'm glad to know that it takes stamping well. I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet, so hopefully I am pleased when I try to use it, but there was definitely disappointment when I first opened it. I really love the feel of smooth paper so having a paper with texture like this takes away some of my tactile enjoyment of making cards, but that's just one of my oddities!

Thank you both for the info. If they ever offer the cardstock wholesale in the future I’ll still pick up a pack. As mentioned the colours in the series work together perfectly and I’ve never been able to find a similar balance with the colours in another manufacturer’s line, there’s always a shade that’s off or too bright/muted when combined with others. Good to hear it’s still nice to work with. I tend to use Neenah 110 lb for my base and card panel and some cards can get quite weighty if adding details in cardstock rather than paper, it’s why I don’t mind the non-neutrals being a lighter weight as I’d never use them as a card base anyway. In the meantime I’m hoping to use the TSM ink refills to create some colour wash backgrounds. When I will get the chance, I don’t know, but it’s on my to do list!

I only discovered The Stamp Market recently and I was really excited about their bold designs and colours. Unfortunately, as an international customer, their shipping is a bit too expensive. I did manage to get a few of their products from Scrapbook.com but they didn't have anything from the new Christmas release, which was really disappointing. I'm sad to hear that they won't be selling wholesale anymore.

If they ever offer the cardstock wholesale in the future I’ll still pick up a pack. natty, in the comments on an Instagram post, The Stamp Market confirmed that they've sent their cardstock and inks to Scrapbook Werkstatt. I know that's not in the UK but since it's in Europe, I don't know if the shipping might be better. Thought I'd mention it in case it works out for you. ( joteves, I'll tag you here too since you said you're an international customer, but I'm not sure where you live, so it might not be useful for you.)

Thank you for that news! interesting re an international wholesale customer being in the works. I will have to check them out and also do a search for UK stockists in case they are not alone. I purchased all the inks (from SSS in Sept) and the refills directly, it’s just the cardstock that is eluding me. If it helps any internationals - 1 stamp bundle and 2 stamp sets from the Christmas release were the estimated $14.99 to ship to the UK When I ordered the ink refills shipping was around the $24 mark in total. Those came in a box rather than a padded envelope.

From their facebook page, it looks like the inks and cardstock have arrived. I'm not sure they have a full working online store as I read something about the store having been taken offline temporarily to sort something behind the scenes. But it may be a good option for euro customers...

Thanks for sharing. TSM is new to me and I really like what I'm seeing. Unfortunately, the one item I ordered from SSS was out of stock and they refunded my money rather than backorder. I ordered it elsewhere for full price as I was so enamored with the die. Looking forward to receiving it, regardless of price.
