I feel like such a rebel. I’ve never in my 54 years even tried a drug. I went to a concert with a friend on the weekend and tried a few puffs of hers, and it was quite pleasant. I’m in Ontario and it’s legal here, so I finally stirred up the courage to walk into the store. I’d been wanting to try it for some time now, but I’m such a prude. I came out with 15 hybrid softgels, and 2 hybrid pre-rolled. Now I have to wait for the right time to actually try them out! I’m a bit excited, and also a bit scared.

haha Good for you. I've never enjoyed marijuana. Had enough ditch weed in college and it never did much for me. Tried the good stuff a couple times and it was too much lol It's legal here too. Most people I know prefer edibles to joints these days.

There’s really nothing to be scared about! Start low and go slow, as the government says. If you have too much nothing awful will happen. Remind yourself you’ve consumed cannabis, it’s impossivle to die from that, and soon you’ll feel better. Some people say consuming citrus can offset any uncomfortable feelings. Welcome to the club.

Pass it to the left my friend!
Cracks my DS and DDIL up when I go to visit them in Washington that one of the first things I ask to do is go to the dispensary for some cannabis tourism. When I came back home last time, I texted them after a couple of days with a whiny "I miss weed" message. I run pretty technical trail a lot and it does a nice job fighting inflammation plus doesn't tear up my system like ibuprofen does.

I never even smoked a cigarette.. I admit I have been wanting to try a bit of it since it is all legal and stuff, but since I work for the government.. ummmm, no, guess I will still be my prudish little self.. LOL

Most people I know prefer edibles to joints these days. I am from a state where marijuana is not legal. My brother lives in WA and I visit him every summer. When Jeff Sessions was Attorney General and making such a fuss about states where it was legal, I decided to be a rebel and try it. Now, every year when I go to WA I smoke a joint. But you are right, the good stuff is too much. I think next time I will try a few eatables.

Awesome. I disliked it when I was younger, but at 36, I finally caved to my friends' peer pressure and have been enjoying it much more.

I don’t want to smoke anything, but I would be willing to try the edibles. It is legal here, I just haven’t gotten the nerve to try it. I’m probably the child of the 60’s who has never tried weed.

I'm coming to the US on holidays, and when we're in Seattle I thought I might try some CBD oil. I suffer from psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia, and painkillers are my very close friends. If the CBD oil works I might try bringing some home with me.

Twos up if anyone has some (old time) Moroccan Gold. Best pain killer I ever did have.

I figure I'll try the edibles when I need something for pain sometime in the future. Not against it as much as have seen how different people react to it and it can be all over the place.

I figure I'll try the edibles when I need something for pain sometime in the future. Not against it as much as have seen how different people react to it and it can be all over the place. Very much not only depends in ones personal endocannabinoid system, but also the balance of Cannabinoids in the weed, as well as the terpine profile. And there is so much we don’t know — almost 100 Cannabinoids exist and we know very little at all about most of them.

Please remember that the edibles take a while to kick in, so be careful.
Things that are labeled indica have a higher amount of cbd in them compared to sativa strains. Cbd in conjunction with thc is what gives that body high, and most people find that that equates to better pain management.

I have been trying to go off of my Meloxicam, but I don't think I will be able to when the weather turns cold. Crossing my fingers that it gets legalized here in the next few years.

I tried it for the first time over the weekend. I tried an edible. It took my pain away but made me feel sick. But not to be in pain was amazing! DH got it for me. He got 2 types so I will try the other this weekend.

DH has dealt with anxiety and depression and was taking meds for them - only every single month when he went to get a refill, they messed it up. So he decided to try the CBD oil, then the gummies. They calm him down and help him to deal with things and he's not taking meds any more. Enjoy!

Slow is the name of the game! I smoked like...twice maybe, in high school. And then after 25 years while in Cambodia, and it was soooo nice and relaxing. So when I went to San Francisco in Sept and walked by a store I went in and bought a joint. Hooo boy, it was SO strong. I only took like 3 drags, but I just laid around and giggled and ate pizza the entire evening after, I couldn’t do anything. California pot and Cambodia pot are very different animals!
Speaking of which, it’s legal in Washington...

Omg a Canadian buying Cannabis on the day before the first anniversary of the Cannabis Act. I vaped today. It was pleasant. I want to try the soft gels! Are they edibles? I buy my edibles from Mota and they ship them. They are local to me and a great business with great people!

A friend of mine offered me some low dose breath mints. It was tempting, but I said no. The idea of low dose mints (like tic tacs) is very appealing.

If the CBD oil works I might try bringing some home with me. I have Chronic Fatigue syndrome which is said to be the same as Fibro (Not sure really how to word that). I tried CBD capsules and when I ran out, I realized how much it had helped with my muscle aches/joint pains that I guess I had become used to over time. I love it so much. Highly recommend it. I take 25mg/ day. (Marijuana is not legal here yet except for a few medical conditions)

I enjoyed weed a bit in college back in the late 1970's and early 1980's but stopped and didn't try it again until last year when my neurologist suggested I try getting my medical marijuana card to help with my migraines. I can't begin to tell you how much it has helped me with my migraines in the last year. It has made an incredible difference in helping me not only prevent my migraines but also to stop the pain when I get them. Because my insurance was limiting the pharmacuitical meds that stopped my migraines to 6 per month and I was having migraines every other day to every day (15 to 25 per month) 6 meds per month weren't nearly enough. Medical marijuana saved me so much in pain, frustration and anxiety.
My favorite way to enjoy MM is to use oil filled cartridges to vaporize it but since the problems lately (which have only occured in folks using product bought on the street) I'm now turning to vaporizing flower-another term for weed. You don't have to smoke flower. You can also vaporize it using special vaporizer units that are made just for this purpose. That way it's healthier for your body because you are inhaling vapor instead of smoke. You can buy a vaporizer online from $60.00 to over $250.00. A very helpful site for all things about this subject (weed) is leafly.com
Edibles are very strong since they are concentrated and take awhile to hit the body since they have to go through the digestive system. The effect also lasts longer-4-5 hours so it's very important to start very slowly with these.
Different strains give different effects and leafly.com is a great place to research different strains. It is very individual too though-different people will have different experiences with different strains. I've found for my migraines what works for one person wonderfully doesn't work for me and vise-versa. All strains have terepenes and it's the terepenes that have the different effects and properties.
Belgravia-Humulene is the terpene that is an antiinflammatory and it can be found in the strains Girl Scout Cookies, White Widow and Sour Diesel. If you go to a dispensary the budtenders (that's what they call the people who work there) will help you find what you need. Just tell them you are looking for a strain that helps and is an antiinflammatory.
In addition to helping me with my migraines I've really been enjoying using weed again. It relaxes me at night (one of the biggest triggers for my migraines is stress) and I don't drink at all so for me this is all I need. I'm so grateful it's been made legal again in my state at least for medical purposes.
