Yay for garlic KelleeM You know that I triple any amount called for in a recipe and now you can too ... sorry to be morbid Thinking of you as always Dd#2 is sleeping over at ex's place for the first time tonight ... changes! I don't know what dd#1 is doing (she's 20 so I don't keep close track of her - she is busy with university, her job and her boyfriend ) ... That means I'm on my own tonight ... my new normal ... I think I'll watch TV (even though I have work to do) and eat potato skins I got from Costco yesterday with lots of sour cream

As an aside, tuesdaysgone, I think that you have had a positive influence on more students than you know! I am actually teaching with one of my former students! She was in grade nine when I first started teaching and when I started in this school in August remembered me ... weird is an understatement She is super smart and knows more than I do I don't think she would pick me as the teacher who influenced her the most ... I was a mess back then Anyway, teaching is so up and down isn't it?

I was out this morning to my old mini-kiga group, as one of the little girls is leaving to go to full time day care. She is a real sweetie, so I really wanted to say goodbye to her and her mum. Also, mum promised to bring lunch for us, and she is Turkish, so that was a big drawcard. I came home full of delicious pride, dolmade, cous-Cous salad and baklava. I even got to bring some baklava home for DH. Dinner tonight here will be cottage pie. So I hate you! I love that food and homemade is so good.

tuesdaysgone, what a great tribute from a former student. I'm so glad she contacted you and that you shared with us. My money is on Montannie's Irish nachos being potato based, jeremysgirl. In southern CA, carne asada fries are very popular. They are similar to full loaded nachos except everything is loaded on French fries instead of tortilla chips.

tuesdaysgone what a nice tribute from your student My middle dd is in her first year of teaching high school English. On parent teacher conference night a mom was screaming her name down the hall & ran up to her and hugged her. My dd used to babysit for her. She doesn’t have her son this year but may next year. It’s a small world. I made buffalo chicken tenders in the oven. Our grill ran out of gas. We had cauliflower & salad too. destined2bmom those boys will be cooks by the time you recover
