We love the show.
Last episode has left me disappointed in the writers. The episode has one of the female doctors dumping her mother's ashes into
the sea lion tank at the local zoo.
I was/am shocked at that. Seems to me that the zoo would NOT want people putting anything in the water for the creatures. IMO, this encourages people to put just about anything into the water at the zoo or water park......and we know how the general public will blindly do things with no thought.
Am I the nutso, or did anyone else notice and think it was not a good idea?

No, ashes should not be dumped into any water source, EVER.

I thought that was peculiar, too. Certainly they could have written in another place to put the ashes.

I agree. I kept thinking surely she isn’t going to dump the ashes into the sea lion enclosure?  😳. I was appalled when it wasn’t just some symbolic pinch of ashes but the whole container. |

That’s just... bizarre. Bad idea. That can’t be healthy for the animals and it will give people ideas.

I know this is a closed in area so way different, but spreading ashes in the ocean is permitted.

They didn't show the ashes in the water, so we were hoping there was a planted area near there and the ashes went in the dirt and the minerals would nourish the plants? ?? Just us trying to figure out how they could ever justify it. |
