Does anyone have both of these and can tell me if the old school MS glitter (pictured below) is as fine as the Elizabeth Craft Designs silk microfine glitter? Jennifer McGuire recently did an awesome technique where she used ECD glitter with stencils. I just tried it with some of the Martha Stewart glitter I have and it didn't turn out as well (the lines are not as defined), so I'm trying to figure out if it's the glitter, the adhesive or a mistake I made. Thanks!

I have a few micro-fine glitters, and some MS and MM glitters...and there is absolutely NO comparison between the two. The microfine is almost powdery. You don't see any of the "flat" sides of the glitter like you do in regular glitters. It works amazingly well on double sided tape, very little mess, no rub-off. I only have 3 colours, and almost bought another yesterday at my LSS because Jennifer's video re-sparked my interest!

Walmart has some extra fine glitter that works perfectly with that technique.

I used to work in a stamp store and we sold Art Institute glitter. It was ultra fine and their samples were gorgeous. I’m not sure if they are still in business, but maybe they are.

Guess I'll have to buy some of the Elizabeth Craft Designs glitters...

I've now educated myself further on glitter (thanks google) because I wanted to know what difference there was between "microfine" (which is my Glitter Ritz glitter), "ultrafine" and "extrafine" glitters.
Very Fine .025" 1/40" 625 0.625 .016" 2/125" 400 0.4 Extra Fine .015" 3/200" 375 0.375 .012" 3/250" 300 0.3 .01" 1/96" 254 0.254 Ultra Fine .008" 1/125" 200 0.2 Micro Fine .004" 1/250" 100 0.1 .003" 3/1000" 75 0.075 .002"-.003" 1/250"+ 65-82 0.065- 0.082
I love the glitter ritz (canadian, ecstasy crafts), and elizabeth crafts has their version. And I'm seriously considering buying more now!
