My card challenge for today is using intricate dies/die cuts. I’ve recently purchased quite a few dies so I need to start actually using them. Any intricate die cut will do though. I cut mine myself but you don’t have to. If you have a fancy lacy die cut (or even a doily or something—I’m not picky), that’ll work! Heres the card I made CARDtober 21 challenge by DanaAdditional twist—used a torn paper or torn card stock element along with the die cut! My Happy Halloween spiderweb is one of my new dies that I used for this one. The little bat, ghost, and spider came with it.

ComplicatedLady that's a beautiful die. I have been looking for a spider web die myself Love the color combination you used on your card.

Thank you azcrafty ! I actually got these Halloween dies as a monthly coco & reno kit—that’s the monthly die kit from the Peachy Cheap page! I figured I’d try it the subscription and there are a lot of useful dies each month. I’ve gotten a few months and haven’t been disappointed yet.

That's a cool die. I haven't seen anything like that before. Fun card. I don't have much patience for intricate, but I have a Christmas ornament that might qualify, or some branches... I'll have to give this some thought.

ComplicatedLady, that is a cool Halloween card. I left you love in the gallery. Here is mine. It is without the twist. I couldn't get torn paper to look good with the intricate die. If I have time I may try to make another card with an intricate die and torn edges. Poinsettia Merry Christmas

ComplicatedLady, that is a great card and challenge. I tend to forget about paper tearing. nylene, I love your beautiful card. That die cut is gorgeous, and so is the poinsettia. Here is mine:

scrapnnana, I love that die cut doily shape behind your wreath. So intricate. I love the little cut marks around the scallops. Your wreath is beautiful too, and matches your torn border paper. Beautiful job. Is your background paper covered with a dark vellum or was it just printed as a darker shade. It's the perfect background against that delicate white die cut.

Thank you, nylene. The paper was just printed a darker shade. I used papers from a BoBunny 6x6 Christmas pad, so the prints were smaller.

ComplicatedLady - gorgeous die and you've used it to make an awesome card! nylene - love that background - it looks so classy with the poinsetta scrapnnana - another elegant card! I hope this qualifies as intricate - I have no intricate dies and my Cricut and I haven't had much success cutting intricate designs - this one took three tries to successfully cut (scrappingtable svg) - and I'm struggling with photography today as well

Linda, I would definitely consider that intricate. I love it cut in white. It just adds to the elegance. Love your little snowflake too on the red border strip. I'm sorry it took so many tries with the Cricut. When my Cricut died I tried the Silhouette and one thing I really like is the more dainty things I can cut. I really hated to see my Cricut die, though. It was like my right arm.

Thanks nylene - I plan to replace the Cricut once it dies and it won't be with another Cricut but so far it's hanging in there just fine.
