To all of the people here who followed my posts and posted prayers and encouragement for me in August and September. I went through the most frightening experience of my life when my 25-year-old son Daniel went through extensive open heart surgery. Then, a few days after I returned home from caring for him post-op, my best friend died in her sleep. I will never ever forget the outpouring of kindness through my darkest days and nights. Again, thank you to all who were here for me. How is Daniel doing?

I love Beyonce the rooster!! I am grateful to the pea who tells me what I *need* to hear and not what I *want* to hear when I am asking for advice. Granted, sometimes it could be said more gently, but I am grateful nonetheless.

The person who posted the recipe for Italian Crockpot Chicken. I made it tonight because my family kept asking for it and they are tough to please.
Oh and for a Love Labs for helping me get through my sweet dog's cancer and passing. I'll forever be grateful to Denise.

I'm forever grateful to the huge number of Peas who reached out to me when our first baby, Kira, was stillborn 10 years ago. I can't even begin to express what that meant to me.

I'm grateful for the support I received last Christmas season when I had to call the cops on my then 16 yo DD on December 22nd. She has come a long way and was stable and off meds/doctors for quite awhile and just recently had a few rough days. She took herself to the doctor just today and wants to get back on some different meds. We are on the cancellation list for the psychiatrist since otherwise they don't have appts. until December!
Things are stressful since it's college app. season and band/classes are ratcheting up so we just need to keep our focus and get her through this year.

I'm so thankful for the peas that were there for me when my dad died suddenly 3 years ago as well as the mental health/depression peas who hung with me in the deep depression that followed his death and ended with my diagnosis of MS.
I'm also so thankful for the chronic pain peas like Lexica and Pridesmom who have always had time to be there for me and all the other peas struggling with severe health problems and horrible pain.
I was also the recipient of some much needed kicks to the butt and much needed advice about my toxic mother and brother. After taking a long break, I am back in contact with my mom and everything is going great. I am in control of the situation, my mom knows that I will cut contact if she acts out again, and I have the support of both my darling husband and wonderful MIL when I need it. I feel much less anxious knowing that those that love me the most have my back, and that I can control this relationship--stepping back if I need to do so, or not accepting an invitation to do something with my mom on a day when I don't feel strong enough.
Knowing that I'm not alone and there are other women out there who care about me makes everything much more bearable.

I am grateful every time sharlag starts a thread because they always make me laugh or give me something to think about.
I am grateful every time I see a pea reach out to another.

I have nothing specific to be thankful for other than the community as a whole. It's amazing to see how we've circled the wagons when we need to or just shared information about random life. It's kind of cool when you think about it.

I'm grateful that I can come here and see so many sides to a topic.
Someone might post a question and I'll think I have a definite idea about what I'd say, and then I read a reply that makes me look at it another way and I'll be all "yes, I definitely agree with that!" and then someone will post a totally different angle and I'll think "absolutely!" and then another, and another, until my head is spinning.
I guess it's made me a more understanding, empathetic person who is willing to consider that ::gasp:: I don't have all the answers.

I am grateful for those Aussie peas who turned me on to Nutella. Yum! I'm pretty sure the gratitude will fade when you realise you've just eaten a whole 500g jar with a spoon... I cannot buy it unless I acknowledge I'm going to eat it all. I'm grateful for the incredibly diversity of experiences of the people here. My opinions and beliefs are constantly challenged and my eyes opened. I love that!

I love that I can get advice from women who are young, old, of many races, religions, and of many demographics. I will always get the "right" answer here, even if it's not what I thought I wanted to hear.

I am grateful for those peas who were so willing to offer me such wonderful support and wisdom when I discovered the now ex had a girlfriend. Due to a weird situation in my life at that time, I didn't have any one in "real" life to talk to about what was happening and I turned to the peas to unload my tale of woe. I was blown away with the kindness and incredibly helpful advice that strangers were so quick to offer. Like grinningcat said above me, the circling of wagons at this place in a time of need is pretty amazing.

This most of all Also grateful to the pea who posted about removing the "snot" off eggs before cooking them. I have never liked that little goober but never thought to actually remove it. Thanks!

I'm grateful for the kind and thoughtful responses when I post about topics that are important and sensitive--most currently, my child's transgender process (here's where I could legitimately use the word "journey" instead of "process", but I'm dislike the overuse of "journey".)
I am always impressed when I read a thread where people take the time to type a substantial and kind answer which obviously took quite a bit of thought, to someone they've never met.
Peas are incredible.

I said it in the crazy thread...those goofy tabs at the end of the boxes of tin foil (et al) that I had no idea existed. My foil experience has been revolutionized. LOL

Those peas that helped me over the last two years. But especially those that helped me after the sudden cardiac arrests, long qt diagnosis, and subsequent ICD complications. Being ill in a hospital far from home for months yet it was like you were all in my room with me. Talking me through scare after scare. Advice for my kids seeing their mom so ill. My fears on if my death would be final or not. I may not remember details or names but I know the warm feelings left inside.
