I looked at this scrappy site that someone posted earlier, and some of the collections I liked. Many, however, have colors that I just can't stand. The "orchid" color that has been so popular- that pinkish/purplish color- too 80's for me. Also most "harvest gold" colors (I am a child of the late 60's- early 70's so maybe that's why). I don't like the really pale colors with dark accents that so much patterned paper has been lately (so I actually haven't bought very much paper in the last couple years). The gold foil seems dated to me, but I don't know why. The "emerald green" that was this year's color also seems too 80's.I haven't been fond of the navy blue with pink that's been in so many collections for the last year or so either. When I was little, I had a dress that was pink with large white flowers on it. There was just the tiniest bit of dark navy in the dress- maybe little stamens on the flowers or something like that. One day when I wanted to wear that dress to school, I didn't have my usual socks that I would have normally worn with it . My mother had to convince me to wear some navy blue knee socks (her favorite line is still "the eye mixes the color- it will look fine"). I hated those socks because they never stayed pulled up (the elastic at the top was worn out) and they didn't even reach my knees. I knew I'd spend all day yanking up my socks, and my fingers would get irritated by the roughness of the texture on those old hand-me-down socks. (Can you tell I really hated the things?) Anywho, for some reason, ever since then I don't like the pink/navy color combination b/c I always see that dress and those socks in my head when I see scrappy stuff in those colors. If I had a picture of that dress, I'd scrap the story! So, what colors or color combos does everyone else seem to like except for you?

I don't like the faded aqua/ pink combo that seems to be popular. I'm actually tired of faded aqua with anything.

I know what you mean- it seems like that color combo has been overdone for too long.
The yellow and grey that was so popular a few years ago finally grew on me, but I never liked that really heavy grey that a lot of patterned papers used. Pale grey was okay though.

My favorite color, pink, appears in most collections, including Christmas, Halloween, Fall, travel, school, etc. Our 12 y.o. son's albums feature many layouts in non-stereotypical gender colors, especially pink! However, as he ages, I'm finding it increasingly challenging to incorporate pink-laced patterns into pages about his activities. I wish more primary colored lines were available...
Most recent collections include gold foil. Yellow is my least favorite color, & I'm not fond of foiled papers & embellishments in general.

I don't like the chalkboard trend at all, and I can't stand the color pink. It's frustrating to have a bunch of tools come out and everything is PINK. I hate to sound like a two year old, but I don't want pink tools! *stomps foot*

not a pink/purple fan here either - I have two daughters and honestly my son owns more purple and my DH more pink than the two girls put together.
Not keen on the chalkboard trend either nor distressed/muted/'dirty' colours - I like clean, crisp, clear colours much better

purples/pinks. black/white/silver/gold. primary colors. I like heritage colors, not all browns and taupes, but muted colors.

I hate pink. I blame my mother. She wanted a girl and finally got one and then it was too much pink. I like anything bold. I don't hate much, but often find that if the patterns are done right (for my eye), the colors aren't that important. I love neutral/earth tones in my house, but in my scrapbooks, I want jazz hands!

the chalkboard and anything pink I don't like. I've never liked pink and though I seem to buy a few things, and use them occasionally just to break up all the blue/green I gravitate towards, I still very much don't like pink.

So over chalkboard. I love pink, but anything pink/aqua I will skip right over because I already own too much of this color combo and it is played. out.
Also don't care for the brownish/gold color - I notice Echo Park uses it a lot. I bought the Bundle Of Joy baby girl collection and hate how they put that color in with the pretty pinks & blues. To me it looks like what is left in a baby's diaper...

I don't like the faded aqua/ pink combo that seems to be popular. I'm actually tired of faded aqua with anything. I actually like some shades of aqua and many pink shades - but NOT together and NOT that faded combo that's been so overused recently. I also don't like purples, and can only deal with pastels on certain types of pages (like baby pages), or in very small doses. I do like chalkboard, and usually gravitate toward neutrals, faded/muted shades, heritage colors, blues, greens, & tans as opposed to primary, bright, or neon colors.

Neons. Don't know that I hate the colours so much as I have no use for them in my layouts. And please, why, whhhyyy, are they selling items in that God-awful mustard (poop)brownish yellow. Seriously what kind of layout is this being used for? Baby's first poo? A page dedicated to picking up after your dog? It's hideous. [And yes I realize now 15 people are going to tell me how much they love this colour and show me all their beautiful layouts using it. lol ]

I like the neon stuff but I am not buying it because the few pieces I bought early on are really unusable for me. And I simply don't need more supplies just sitting around because they're pretty.
I'm sick of aqua and pink and really tired of so much stuff being "distressed" and "vintage". I am lucky enough to have 3 LSS within an hour's drive and it seems like 75% of the products they carry are vintage inspired. Think 75% of an entire store devoted to Tim Holtz and Graphic 45. Those are the only style classes the stores do too. I have never liked that stuff and the over saturation is making me REALLY not like it.

I don't like papers with a lot of bright colors mixed on them. They look too busy. I also don't care for colors that are 'browned'--the ones that look like they've had a touch of brown added to mute them a little. I will admit however that I do like the pink and aqua. I'm still not tired of that one yet.

Purple and pink together. Not overly fussed on neons or gold (though I will use a little gold at random times). I hate HATE that darker purplish magenta color. It's a hangover from being pregnant when I decided it gave me nausea. I have hated it ever since

Gray and yellow. Not overly fond of yellow to begin with, and gray with it just seems wrong to me. I don't mind muted aqua if it's got a lot of green in it... then it looks like a color from the 40s or 50s and I like that. But not pale pink and aqua together.

Anything with red (other than a few Christmas ones...but the red has to be muted). Also not a fan of pink or anything with flowers

So glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like the popular colors out there! I stopped by HL today and almost groaned and laughed at the same time when I saw this paper pad! A whole pad of navy and pink! I also browsed the PL style card packs, and so many of them are pale washed out colors. There was a set of just chalk board cards that looked cute, though.

Pink is my favorite color! I recently gave all my NEON to a local grade school.

I am not a fan of primary, heritage or grungy colour tones, I also really dislike the red and green Christmas combination. I tend to use a lot of pinks, blues, kraft and greens in my scrapbooking.

I don't like the faded aqua/ pink combo that seems to be popular. I'm actually tired of faded aqua with anything. Count me among those who got over that trend back when Miami Vice was popular, LOL! I'm also not a fan of the yellow and gray. My MIL had some *hideous* yellow, black and gray paisley type drapes on the porch windows at the lake cabin that she made herself back in the early '70's when they bought the place. I hated those ugly dust catchers from the very first second I laid eyes on them! Who puts drapes on their cabin porch windows blocking the view of the lake anyway? It was just weird. I mentioned something about taking them down at one point, and she said, "I *MADE* those drapes and I still like them." All RIGHTY then! They were still hanging there when she died in 2011, some 40 years later. The following spring when DH and I opened the place up, those horrible drapes were the first thing I pulled out of there after we officially inherited it. I have to say that burning them in the fire pit was somewhat cathartic, LOL. I like gray by itself or with certain other colors, and in fact bought a lot of different silvery gray papers to use for Silver Anniversary pages I need to make. Pink is my favorite color and DD's favorite color too, so we have a fair amount of pink stuff on purpose. Once DH showed me a picture in an article of this lady that loved the color pink so much that her entire house and everything in it was pink! Every room, and everything in every room! I don't think I'd ever go quite that far, but I did paint DD's new bedroom pink when we moved here a couple years ago. I wouldn't ever paint my own room that color though.
