Reminder: this thread is open to all, not solely those doing December Daily/Journal Your Christmas type of albums. Anyone meaning to document their December 2019 memories in one way or another is welcome to join us and have some fun with the mini challenges! Posting this week's challenges for anyone wanting to play along: 1. Browse for inspiration | You've probably already been looking at albums online, following the #decemberdaily tag on social media, keeping an eye on what the other Peas are posting. Now's your time to go all in with your inspiration quest: spend a bit of time on YouTube, go through the Instagram accounts of your favourite scrapbookers and get inspired! Earn 1 point for doing the challenge, 1 point for sharing your conclusions and lessons learnt from looking at other people's December projects and 1 more point for sharing your very favourite inspiration with us all. 2. Photograph early Christmas signs | This challenge is wonderful to get you in the mood, to test out your equipment (especially if you plan on relying on your smartphone for some of your December photos this year) and just start playing around with different angles, new ways of photographing your Christmas memories. Think of capturing the first décor and goodies in the stores, the town's holiday lights going up, the very first houses in your neighbourhood that are being decked out, your own work around getting organised for Christmas this year (checking the ornaments in the storage bins, making a packing list if you're going on a trip to see family in December, etc.). December albums don't *have* to be restricted to the month of December. You can cheat or just extend to include a yuletide prologue. There are no rules! And if you don't end up including these pictures in your final project, you still got to play around with your equipment and test some techniques out. 1 point for playing along and 1 point for sharing your favourite early Christmas sign picture of the week with us. For challenge n° 2, think about trying something new or perfecting a technique. Bokeh effect photos are such a trendy (and pretty-looking) feature in today's holiday projects, especially with the twinkling lights on the tree. If you haven't tried it yet, this week would be the perfect moment to have fun with your camera (if you are using your smartphone, you'll need to check your phone's camera settings to see how you can use its specific features to mimic this): Total available points this week: 5

I am thinking about my December Daily a lot. If I am going to do it, I think I would like to try to do the foundation pages. I have never done them before and I think that probably has added to my lack of success. So, that then lead me to thinking about taking Ali's class this Saturday. I can't actually participate on Saturday, but could do it Sunday. So, I am still mulling over the idea.

It'll get your creative brain going and put you in the mood for a very low price point. There's a thread dedicated to this event in the General Scrapbooking part of the board, by the way. It looks like quite a few Peas will participate this weekend.
