I have a Mazda CX-9. It’s closing in on 100,000 miles and I should think about trading it in but it’s the most comfortable car I’ve ever had. Lots of storage and a third row seat if needed. While it’s lower to the ground than what you are used to, it feels sturdy and safe when riding in traffic or on the freeway. Plus it’s good in snow, which is important in my area. I also have a Mazda CX-9 that is almost at 100,000 miles and I love it. Plenty of room, drives great, comfortable. I’ve never replaced a vehicle with the same vehicle but I may this time.

Might be smaller than you want, but we like our Escape.

I never had a full size SUV, though DH wanted one when we were shopping for a new vehicle earlier this year. We settled on a Pathfinder, a midsized SUV. I so love it. It is high enough that I can see over cars in front of me, but not so huge that I need a step stool to get down (though thank God for the running boards). I have driven my moms full sized ones before and I am so much more comfortable w/the Pathfinder.

I used to have an explorer I love that car ,It was great when the boys played soccer now it’s just my husband and I and a dog I have a jeep Cherokee it’s a great little car ,I don’t miss the the big one . I think it depends on how many people you schlep around and the amount of stuff you transport.

Loved my Rogue, but the visibility for changing lanes was awful...unless they improved that in recent years.

I have an Acura MDX and love the height , size...just about everything. Our last rental car was a Rogue and I didn’t feel it was up very high. That's what I drive and I'm going to be sad to see it go. My daughter is driving a 2008 Audi A3 and it's on its last legs. She's going to inherit my MDX and I'm getting a Subaru Outback. I don't need 3 rows any more (which makes me sad and I'm having a small crisis over it) and I want something with better gas mileage and that won't get me an extra fee for an SUV in NYC parking garages.

I went from 2 expeditions also (great minds) and downsized to a Venza (which I loved as it was a little higher than the norm, but I wasn't wrenching my arm getting in and out). I then traded that in for a 2018 Outback. I love the car, but we're already planning on letting our son have it once he graduates college. It's a great commuter car, sturdy, love all the gadgets BUT I miss elbow room (I'm plus size and hubby is 6'4) and it feels a little scrunched. I've had an Ascent loaner car twice and so far that's my first choice, but I also want to look at the Toyota Highlander Hybrid (hubby says its narrower now so that may be out) The Ascent is everything I love about an SUV - sturdy, up higher but not too high (good grief where's the 3 bears?) and is a turbo!

I have had a Suburban and Tahoe in the past. Currently I have a Traverse and I absolutely love it. The new body style and features...it's a great vehicle! I bought some interior doors the other day and I was able to put them in the back and bring them home myself instead of having my husband come in the truck. I am loving the "downsize" because it's still a nice sized SUV.
