My parent's number was accidentally used for Outback Steakhouse on a website...I told my Dad to do this. LOL. But he's a grouchy old guy, so I finally went down to Outback for him and had it fixed. (This was after e-mailing the web-admin and they did nothing about it. It was actually on the website for the shopping center they were in and not the official Outback site.) I told them it probably wasn't in their best C/S interest for my Dad to potentially tell their customers to F*** off. LOL Now we only get the occasional call for the recycling center which is one number off from that number. It just amazed me how rude people are when you tell them they miss-dialed.

I remember that. I find it hard to believe she gets her email wrong all.the.time. So very strange.

Google has this weird thing where any variation of the mail goes to the same person. My gmail address is first and middle name. last name but if anyone enters any variation of that I will get the email. Maybe it has something to do with that, but it's really strange she hasn't figured that out.

I'm feeling exceptionally happy that there are no dots in my gmail address right now. It wouldn't matter if there were. This girl seems to forget to give people the "S" in front of her name. That's the problem, not the period. Gmail is wacky that way. Our ISP does recognize a period. Homer.simpson would be different from homersimpson . I'd start forwarding her shit to her with "Looks like you forgot your "s" again! " maybe eventually she'll get embarrassed.

How ridiculous that it's gone on for so long without her taking steps to fix it! Do you only get the spam type emails? Maybe she's doing it on purpose...

Must admit to being part of a group who "inbox-bombed" someone many years ago - between us we signed her up for so many dubious websites and services that she had to change her email address - unfortunately for her we found out that one too... I can't remember what she had done but at the time we'd decided that what we were doing was totally justified... Nowadays I think there are laws against that kind of behaviour lol...

She had her suspisions but seeing as there were 5-6 of us she couldn't prove anything - but she stupidly kept posting on the forum we were all on about the weird emails she kept getting - and we were all wetting ourselves...! Childish I know but it felt good at the time lol. Gypsy - not having children I can't begin to imagine what you are going thru but I will send positive thoughts and gentle hugs your way xx

I would post on her twitter page. Unfortunately, she will not see that unless she already follows Ashley! tweeting people who do not already follow you is like talking to the TV... ETA: people who might influence her to straighten things up would likewise have to be followers of Ash or they will not see it either.

I had a similar thing happen a few years ago. My dd and I created a shared gmail address to use only with our Kindle account. A few months after using it some odd things started happening and then I couldn't log onto the account. It said the password had changed. After searching for a way to reset it, it led me to a page with my cell phone number so I had it send me a text with a new password and I changed the password. Next thing I know I couldn't log on again because the password was changed again. Anyway we went back and forth and then I decided to send an email to the account and see if someone answered. She did....we both thought we had been hacked. What made it complicated is that it was connected with my Amazon account. Anyway, I gave her the account and I went in and registered for a new email account and changed all the information.
Both Amazon and Gmail said that it couldn't happen. It was impossible. I am here to tell you that it DID happen and there is a glitch somewhere.

I don't think so, because I'm receiving stuff like job application replies, hospital bills, and confirmation emails to set up accounts like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. So, they are emails she needs to receive and use/reply to. And she can't, because it's my email address. They all come to the same email address, but after a bit of thinking and digging, I'm beginning to wonder if it's actually all the same person (a woman named S Ashley Calder) or maybe two people (S Ashley Calder and Ashley Calderas). Weird, isn't it?

OMG! I have the same ongoing issue! apparently my name is pretty generic because several people from different cities have my name. One is a teacher, one is a mortgage lender, one is looking to buy a home right now. Several times a week I unsubscribe from something they have subscribed to. Every time I get a personal email to them from someone they know, I reply that they have the wrong person and can they let her know that I'm getting her emails and she needs to change her address. If I hadn't had this email address for so long, I would just change it!
