It really helped me get going on my card making, and the challenges got me to stretch, to do things I would probably not have tried otherwise.
There were differences between the types of challenges last year and those this year. I am trying to compile a list of challenges from both years just to help me in general with my card making and scrapbooking.
We spent the last 10 days of October helping our youngest DS and DDIL move a thousand miles from their apartment to our home, so now I can finally do more crafting again.
Now that CARDtober (and their move) is done, I’ve noticed how quiet it is here. I realize that this is a busy time of year, but has anyone been doing any card making, for Christmas or otherwise?

I hope to be making Christmas cards this month and will definitely be inspired by all the CARDtober challenges and peoples takes on them. The 2019 challenges are stickied on this board. Here is a link to the 2018 CARDTober challengesGood luck with your list and with your Cardmaking!

Thank you, grammadee, for the link.
I decided to peek at the November challenge board, too, although it’s more scrapbooking than card making. I do want to get back to scrapbooking, but right now, I’m more focused on cards.

Oh yes, I’m still working on my Christmas cards I was close to being done but have pulled out 50 to donate. Yesterday I pulled out my Tim Holtz moose die and started cutting moose for my next group of cards. I love the card challenges and I plan on doing them throughout the year!

I'm always working on cards... I'm afraid I don't post or check this board as often since it's quiet, but of course that's also why it's quiet! We'll have to come up with some other card and stamp things we can chat about here Maybe we can just add some sharing threads so people feel free to brag about whatever they've been making. We could also create some challenges each month that are specifically card focused that we share here and that are also part of the challenge board. I'm working on tidying up my space and posting some new listings to my shop but when I get done with that I will be working on a some round ornament card/tags that I started playing with yesterday. I'll start a thread and share them soon

I couldn't participate in CARDtober this year. I was helping a friend with a fundraiser for the local humane society. It was a paper crafting event (the second one we've done) and we decided to add a holiday boutique to it. So I was knee deep in gift card holders, gift tags and treat containers. It was held last Thursday and we raised $1,000!
Now I can finally get started on my Christmas cards for the local nursing home.
If you want to see what I made for the boutique, check out my instagram: @pdoyle2178

I’m not on Instagram, but congrats on raising so much for your local humane society, freeatlast! I am not on IG either, but freeatlast , i’d Love to see your cards. I set up a November card share thread hoping to see what everyone is creating. I picked up a Kaisercraft 12 card kit from the LSS, and between the extras in the kit and a few other supplies I have from that collection and some card bases. I should be able to put together a couple of dozen cards.

I make cards all the time, as well. I have to make a birthday card for my niece this week and then I'll be working on my Christmas cards. I usually do up a few prototypes first but so far this year I've only done one, so I'm feeling behind this year!

I bought two kits from my LSS that included 12 designs. However there were so many extras that I made ten extra cards from the one kit (using my own bases). I hope to get another ten out of the leftovers from the second one, too.
