I'm early! Which is ironic...because I completely forgot about the date until last night and so had to quickly choose a sketch and limit my selections, which of course, helped my Mojo and I ended up loving what came of this!
The sketch: I may have stolen this from another pea who has posted before me. I found the sketch in my (huge) pile of print outs, and really wanted to use it!
My interpretation:
1. ANCIENT paper scraps. A piece of mesh. Basic Grey "Lucky".
2. wanted to use atypical Christmas colours but still convey Christmas 3. New Memory Box Vintage Varsity letter dies...LOVE LOVE LOVE! I did 3 layers to create a bit of dimension with them.
4. The "together" tag isn't really that dark - it's a similar purple to the other purples. 5. Because my photos were 3x4 instead of square, I changed the orientation of the background strip to balance them.
I also think this sketch would be great on a card!

Ooooh I love it!! And thanks for posting early, seeing it's already 9:30am Saturday here. I'm taking my son out for brunch at 10am, then I'll be home to start playing with this fab sketch. Off to leave some love in the gallery.....

That is a very versatile sketch and I love your take on it, kitbop! I actually prefer it with two rectangular photos. |

Here is my take on the sketch. Even though I really loved the look of it using rectangles instead of squares, I ended up sticking really closely to the sketch for this layout. I loved the way the pattern was repeated in the three squares on the sketch, and I searched my stash to find a similar pattern. I would love to do another LO with rectangles next time, like yours kitbop .  |

AussieMeg, love the sades of blue with the red and white. That blue heart is cute, but the lace, ric rac and stitching is fabulous!
