We started watching episode one and were completely lost. Specifically about the diamonds that someone had. Can someone explain the context of them and who had them. We went back and watched the last episode of season 4 but it didn't help. Thanks!

It was Jimmy/Saul/Gene, as Gene, who had the diamonds. I thought that whole intro scene with him as Gene was confusing. I don't remember him escaping with diamonds so I don't know where they came from.

I love this show! I'll be sad to see it go. Next season is the last, so it's possible we might not find out the source of the diamonds until next season.

Thanks everyone! Now I know we're not losing it! We thought that was Jimmy/Saul but weren't sure. At least we aren't supposed to know about the diamond yet. We love this show too. I'm just sad that Kim will likely not be shown very much or at all once he totally morphs into Saul. I LOVE her ponytail! And I think she' adorable.
