I didn't end up painting yesterday. I laid down for a bit of a nap which didn't happen. And it gently rained so Jeremy cut off the painting for yesterday and we went to his mother's house. He did a small home improvement project for her. We ended up eating bagel chips with cheese dip for dinner. Haha.
So I'm outside painting right now. And he's rehanging the gutters.
Tonight's dinner will be those chipotle meatballs I was going to make yesterday.

We are cleaning our trailer inside and out today. What was I thinking when we bought it? I barely keep up with housework in my home. But the trailer? It is going to be spotless from top to bottom by the end of today. Heaven forbid there is a speck of dust on a window sill in that rolling tin can of love!! A dust bunny on the floor of the shower that we use only for an open-air hamper! A crooked top sheet on the bed? Blasphemy!!!!!
But it means an easy dinner. Hot dogs, rechauffe pasta salad, fresh pineapple.
Thanks for the thread. Enjoy your friend!!!

Our weather has gone downhill since Thursday - typical that it was the day I met a friend for dinner and was hoping for an outdoor table! It has meant my walking has been a bit haphazard - I missed yesterday as I didn't find a good break in the showers, and only got out today by putting up with sprinkles for the first 10 minutes. I did see something interesting today - on my walk Thursday, I saw a rather large (for current times) funeral in the cemetery where I walk so I changed my planned route to avoid it. Today, I walked by and there were sooooo many flowers on the grave. I read the temporary grave marker they have put up - it was for a Prince! Otto, Prinz von Hessen to be precise! No wonder there were so many people at the funeral. Germany actually lost its royal families after WW1, but many kept their titles, though they don't use them in everyday life - this person was simply known as Otto von Hessen.
Apart from that excitement, I finished my Harry Potter jigsaw (#4 of stay-at-home) and started a new one. It is Santorini at sunset - really pretty, but lots of white buildings with orange glow.
Dinner tonight will be mexican burgers, one of DH's inventions. It is mexican spiced mince, shaped into freeform sausages, which he will cook on the grill and serve in tortilla, with the usual taco toppings.

Thank you for thinking of me, leannec . I'm still tired, but feeling better. Today will be dedicated to jigsaw puzzling and some time at my Switch. We Tivo'd Joker off of HBO and that's our movie tonight. Poor me. I can't do regular housework for another few days. I have to go lightly on my right arm. hehe. I'm not sure what to make for dinner. I could do chicken sandwiches or Chinese chicken salad or chicken nuggets or buttermilk chicken. I have no idea, whatsoever. leannec , Your dinner last night sounds so good. Dill pickle anything has to be great. jeremysgirl, how are you doing w/the painting? Did you get most of it done? Wishing everyone a relaxing and fun day.

I think we're making chicken and vegetable stir fry tonight, using up as much of the fresh vegetables in the fridge as we can, and having enough for leftovers tomorrow.
This weekend is all about packing and bagging up trash because we move Monday morning.

Much cooler today so we took a 3-mile walk with some serious uphills! Today is the 54th anniversary of my high school graduation ~ 6/6/66! Our class is like one big happy family acting like teenagers on Facebook. I love it!
Dinner tonight is Chicken Divan with a fruit salad and a green salad.

I had a backyard chat and coffee with my gym buddies this morning.
Tonight is my ds's pick for local takeout. I think he is picking a local Italian place so I will have veal parmigiana. DH will have manicotti and DS meatball parmigiana.
Enjoy the day!

Just ordered our dinners...there's a small restaurant here that has the BEST chicken pot pie and we got that the last time. So we checked out their salads and we are both getting their spinach salads with lots of goodies.

Hi Everyone! leannec Great meme! jeremysgirl You are doing a wonderful job on painting your house. I can’t wait to see more pictures. sueg Our weather was like that this past week. We had a few days of severe thunderstorms. I didn’t realize that trees could bend so far. Interesting about the prince. scrapmaven I am so very happy that you are resting. Today I have a Zoom baby shower for my niece at 4 pm and Zoom scrapbooking at 6 pm. I made rigatoni and marinara meat sauce for dinner last night. So it’s rechauffe for dinner. I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

scrapmaven I am finally done! I'm waiting for Jeremy to come back from his oil change and just finish up with the gutters. I'm so pleased with myself. My house has a beachy feel to it. I just love it. All these very 1960s homes in my neighborhood are all beige, white, and cream. Boooooooooring. My house has now become the most interesting on the street. I'm waiting for my new doors to come in. And I need to find a new mailbox. And I need a couple weeks rest and then I will refinish my deck.

A typical Saturday. Busy and productive this morning and nice and lazy in the afternoon.
We'll probably grill out hamburgers/veggie burgers this evening, but I could be talked into a pizza.

We all had dentist appointments this morning, then dh and I ran by his mom's house to pick up a couple of shirts that had been in limbo at Macys with the store closed! We then when to the small farm store across the street from his moms and bought some flowers. It was my first time in a store since mid-March so I did walk through and picked up a few things.
Dinner tonight is BLT's- i have avocados, so if they are still good, I will add that to mine!

Happy Saturday peas!
I had my xrays taken and have a referral in to ortho. No results back yet but moving in the right direction. Tomorrow I can start to take walks again on flat surfaces. So I will go out with the family 2xs to start and get back up to 4. I will discuss hEDS with ortho and go from there.
I also have a referral in to cardio for an echocardiogram U/S and 14 day Holter monitor. I was born with a CHD that was not repaired and have to have echo check ups every 2 years. I am doing the holter again because my last one showed tach events but great rhythm. I have been getting tachy again and dealing with dizziness. PCP highly suspects I have ANS/Dysautonomia. YAY. lol Following in the steps of my teen.
We are taking DD out to In and Out to celebrate her end of Jr year, her freaking awesome report card (all A's with 3 A+s two of which are way above 100%) and that due to her hard work ethics, she is in the top 100 of her graduating class! That is amazing when you think of all of her obstacles. DS got straight As too and is going to be an 8th grades. Crazy.
Tonight will be left overs/fix it yourself. DD will have the left over meatballs, potatoes, and green beans. I am going to fix vegetable soup with dumplings. DH will have either noodles or a sandwich.
Have an enjoyable weekend ladies.

We saw a fox on our walk today. That was an exciting first. I did a search for the Prince and came up with this article www.archyde.com/otto-von-hessen-dead-at-55-german-prince-killed-himself-on-motorbike/sad, he was so young.

destined2bmom I read someone on post secret felt bad for all the moms who missed out on showers so they found random registries on amazon & sent gifts. Was your niece surprised or did she know about the shower? DD’s friend went into labor 1 day before her induction this week. Thank god because the cord was wrapped 4 x around her little neck. Thankfully she’s fine. Working on my door again. It’s slow going now. Drove out to the lake to view properties but it’s a sellers market so it may be difficult to get one that isn’t lakefront. I just want lake view. Don’t get me wrong I’d love lakefront but dh wants woods also so no lake front. If it works out great if not it wasn’t meant to be right now. I’m having rechauffe. Dh will have grilled wings. Meat on bones is a no for me. @sunnycalimom I’m glad you’ve had progress

Hi all.
I'm planning on taking off after I shower and abandoning my family for the rest of the day before I explode over two of them. I might hit HD for paint and a couple nurseries for a few things and then find somewhere to sit by the beach and listen to the waves. The beaches are finally open for sitting, but the weather is pretty lousy so I don't expect any social distancing problems. I have no plans for dinner and hope they figure out they are on their own.
I'm really hoping tomorrow is a better day.

teddyw My niece’s shower was planned using Zoom. She lives in Boston, is from Florida, and her dad side of the family lives here in Pennsylvania and Virginia. She actually traveled to Florida for the shower and knew because the states were locked down that none of us could go to it. jeremysgirl I love the colors of your house. You did a fabulous job!

It looked hard. Take the rest of the day off and crochet something new. You earned a new project! We bought this house for $105,000. It has been a huge fixer upper. We've done a lot of work to this place.
