Good morning and Happy April. I don't do April Fools, because the last thing I need in my life is another prank. We're at mil's so that dh can finish up the projects we had planned for our last visit. Dh is going to stop by her community and pick up laundry. Other than that, my day will consist of a fun puzzle and I will do a bit of light housekeeping here. Dinner is Chinese takeout for dh.
What's on your menu?
I'll be thinking the best thoughts for you tmw. Wishing everyone a day that is filled w/good things.

Thinking of you brandy327. Dinner tonight will be Chicken Divan with side salads. Major league baseball starts today which will somewhat cut down on our TV viewing.

Your meme describes me to a tee, cadoodlebug. brandy327, I just finished reading yesterday's thread. For the nuclear scan they might inject some dye into your arm via your IV. They might not. either way there is no discomfort at all. It's just a scan. You'll lie or sit and the machine will take digital photos. Easy peasy. If nothing else it'll keep you busy while you're waiting for the OR.

Is Brandy’s surgery happening today? Last night we had the little steaks (sautéed with butter and garlic) along with roasted potatoes and asparagus, which had been requested by His Highness. The only reason I didn’t make a stir fry as planned was that I couldn’t take one.more.night of rice with dinner. Thanks again to everyone for all the great suggestions. I’ll be trying some of them in the future. Tonight will be matzoh ball soup, with chicken, carrots and spinach added. I’ll probably make cheesy toast, too.

Good morning! Today our buyers are coming over at 5pm (was supposed to be earlier but they had to reschedule) to look at the house again because they are getting new carpet and maybe painting. They are going to be here for a half an hour and so I’ll just make salad after they leave and we’ll have that with leftover pizza from yesterday. It’s a good excuse not to make a big dinner.

scrapmaven my feelings exactly! So yesterday at lunch I went downstairs to go to a restaurant next door. I wanted to get a pop to go with my lunch. I was two steps out the door when I tripped and went down hard, face first to the pavement. I just knew as I was going down I was going to die. Several people rushed over to check on me and help me up. I was okay just SUPER EMBARRASSED. I went and got my drink and went back upstairs. I think the adrenaline wore off about then because I was shaking and I noticed blood on my arm. So I went into my bosses/friends office and hd and another coworker patched up my elbow and wrist that were pretty scraped up. Today I’m just SORE everywhere. So that was fun. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m on vacay today and tomorrow and will probably be eating out so not sure about dinner yet tonight.

PolarGreen12, glad you are ok. I felt that way when the dog tripped me, face first! We are taking daughter to her grandma's tonight for her to be there for Easter and some of her spring break. Dinner will be something out somewhere! And I get my first shot tonight before we leave!

PolarGreen12, glad you're okay. I've done the full-on face plant several times and, besides skinning the body up something awful, is the embarrassment of doing it in front of people. 45+ years ago I did it in a dress and high heels while picking up dinner-to-go and my foot hit a raised piece of concrete. Unlike you, no one rushed to see if I was okay. My poor nylons were shredded as were my palms.

I did my acrobatics in front of two restaurant patios right in the middle of lunch hour so LOTS of witnesses. Just hope no one was videoing. 🤦🏻♀️😂🤷🏻♀️

My menu board says Thai Seafood Curry so I think that will be dinner. Just not sure I'm in the mood for it so I'm reserving the right to change my mind. Yikes, PolarGreen12, I'm glad you weren't more seriously injured! Those unexpected falls are scary. cadoodlebug, I went back to a top loading washing machine last summer with no regrets. But I do have tongs hanging in the laundry room to pick up socks and other little bits from the bottom of the drum. I'm impatiently setting up my new phone and chose the manual option. The software update keeps changing the time remaining (56 minute, 42, a hour, 38, 41). DS just came out of class (aka out of his bedroom) and will see if the quick set up works faster for his. I hoped to be out the door running errands by now but won't go anywhere until this is done.

Hi ladies! I'm doing good. I got a call last night about what time to be there for the scan(7:45a) but I have yet to hear what time surgery is actually scheduled for. In my online chat, it says PM... which wth? My scan is at 8am and I'm going to have to wait until the afternoon??? scrapmaven What they told me about the scan is that they're going to inject radioactive dye around the melanoma spot. And then wait for a little while and then do some sort of scan. Any idea what kind of scan? I'm a little anxious that it will be some sort of enclosed thing like an MRI. I did grocery shopping this morning and got the last of the stuff I needed for Easter baskets. I'm finishing up laundry and housework. Then it's just sit and wait. I slept great last night, which is awesome because I doubt I'll sleep well tonight. Dinner tonight is easy - chicken patties and French fries. I wanted something with no cleanup. So we'll eat off of paper plates and use the air fryer with parchment sheets. Thank you for all the well wishes for tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you all. If I have time on between the scan and my surgery, I'll post and let you know how it goes.

Hello everyone. Popping on real quick to check in and see how everyone is doing.
Took a nice walk with the kids today and went to another park with them yesterday to walk around. Enjoying the warmer weather.
Toby gets his allergy shot today and then I will watch the board meeting. Got on FB real quick to post about Primary Immunodeficiency Awareness Month (already have my spiel about Autism earlier this week) then got off.
I feel sorry for teachers and staff with having to deal with so many crazy parents. We went from teachers are heros to they suck real quick. Ugh!
So since I will be glued to the computer from 5-8 or later, I am serving salads. Will have everything prepped and we can each eat when we want to.
Oh and dd is doing very well with her Covid vaccine! Yay!!!
Brandy, thinking of you. Praying for you and your medical team. ❤
Have a good day ladies. Will come back tomorrow to vent and update about the districts decision.

Ds, dd, and I have had various scans with various injections and they have been MRI, CT Scan, and Neuclear Med. Nuclear Med is open with the camera system over you. CT is a donut. There are open MRIs but most hospitals don't have those.

That’s how my radioactive thyroid scan was done. And luckily it only takes about 10 minutes.

Late tonight, as we had church at 5pm and dinner was almost ready to eat when I got home. Today was just beautiful here - warm and sunny - so I went out early to walk. My longest walk so far and also my fastest speed since I started. After the that there was some knitting time I prepared dinner early, so DH could just put it onto the oven when he got home - no eau we he getting here in time for church! Dinner was shakshuka - tomato and white bean bake, with eggs cracked on top about 10 minutes before it’s done. All DH had to do was heat it and add the eggs!
Long weekend has now started - DH is off until Tuesday and all we have planned are the various Easter church services.

Sorry to read about your fall PolarGreen12 Falling in public really is embarrassing, you can't just lay there and process what just happened and access to see if you are really hurt or not. I fell a couple months ago on our icy driveway, it was all caught on our Ring camera. After I fell I just laid there like I was dead! brandy327 you seem so organized with getting all your ducks in a row before surgery. Maybe you can find a little time today to treat yourself and just chill for a little bit. Dh has a big dinner meeting with some big kahuna's from the east coast. It will just be me and Kait for dinner. We might do homemade chicken strips and roasted veggies. Dh can't stand roasted veggies, can you believe that?!?!?

I don't do April Fools, because the last thing I need in my life is another prank. I unintentionally prank myself on the daily. cut down on our TV viewing. I'm a total weirdo who doesn't watch TV. You guys discuss all the programs and I'm like, huh? Totally confused. Today I’m just SORE everywhere. So that was fun. Oh, damn I hate when that happens. Happens to me too. I'm sorry you're a bit banged up. I think dinner tonight will be a salmon wrap You want to tell me what is in that? I'm curious. Sounds good. Long weekend has now started - DH is off until Tuesday and all we have planned are the various Easter church services. Woo hoo! I could use a long weekend. Thank goodness I have next week to work and then I'm on vacation for a week. OK, so I picked up my old car at the dealership and took it back to the body shop that repaired it after the deer accident. I was quite miffed with them thinking they did a bad job repairing my car. Well I got a call from them today telling me that somebody tampered with my car. They broke the brackets and attempted to put new ones on (which my body shop doesn't use), they dented the fender while doing the brackets and they attempted to bang out the dent and repaint the part they damaged and it was oversprayed and that's not the way the body shop painted my car after the accident. They even found tape inside the panel that isn't even the same kind of tape they use. In other words, the body shop says the dealership messed with my car trying to fix it. And so we've got the dealership pointing fingers at the body shop and the body shop pointing fingers at the dealership. I don't know who to believe at this point. The good news is that the body shop is fixing the car. And I am considering taking it to another dealership and turning it in there. I'm not sure I can trust the original dealership. This has all been a huge headache and I'm ready to be done with it. Let the chips fall where they may. Last night we were so busy shuffling my old car around that we did an Arby's drive thru for dinner. Tonight I will make the shrimp scampi pasta after my eye doctor appointment at 4:20. I haven't been to the eye doctor in 2 years and no one wants to make me glasses without a current eye appointment. So I am going tonight.

I don’t ever want to see my big butt going down. 😂 I slipped on ice going into the court house about 10 years ago, splayed out facedown in the parking lot and broke my wrist. The jerk who was driving by didn’t even stop. He just went around me! I am so thankful I didn’t break anything this time.

Oh, it's totally lowbrow Canned salmon with all bones and skin removed ... mixed with the juice of half a lemon ... put on a nice soft pita bread and topped with a bunch of romaine lettuce It's more like something you would eat for lunch but I'm single so I can get away with it for dinner

jeremysgirl, that's some shady stuff about your car. I would switch dealerships. Yikes! I'm going to get spring salad recipe posted soon. PolarGreen12, ouch! Besides being incredibly embarrassed, stiff, and sore , you didn't injure yourself? It's amazing how people can fall and be ok and the next one can end up with a nasty concussion or worse, dead. Scary! **GypsyGirl**, I giggled reading your post last night at work. brandy327, good luck with your procedure tomorrow. We're having chicken salad sandwiches, chips, and fruit. I'm thinking spring/summery vibes.
