No, I don’t. But, I buy mine online because I manage three sites that sell gift cards. So, there isn’t a receipt like you get in a store. And, if you have a problem, I can resolve or find the folks at our company that can.

Usually. If there were other things purchased at the same time that I might need the receipt for I will just keep the receipt for a few months just in case.

I do attach receipt. I received a gift card at my retirement party that states it's not authorized. I feel bad for gift giver and I did write at thank you note for it. Later I discovered it was no good.

I will give a gc for graduation gifts and almost always put the receipt on the back. If it is for someone for my immediate family it can be pretty hit or miss, but I know they'll let me know if it doesn't work. Now for Christmas, always.

I think I will stick it in there. When I receive gc's it is nice to know what value they have so I can plan what gift to get for myself with them. When I give them, I include the receipt in case there is a problem with their use. Dh received a card for Christmas and was not able to use it at the store, but when he presented the receipt, they were able to credit his store credit card with that value because they could check the bar code from the receipt. |

YES! I didn't until I found out almost a year later it didn't work! By then I no longer had the receipt and was horrified. It was a VISA $100 gift card. Haven't bought one of those since.
