I've been seeing and hearing about Owala water bottles a lot lately. Have they become the new in-thing? I have one that is a couple of years old. They are good bottles.

The cool thing the millennials and older “here” are Costgogers like me use these big ass, too big for car cup holders Thermoflasks. They are beautiful. I got a purple one and it’s amazing please don’t get me wrong. My 10 pm ice water still has ice the next morning. It’s just very big. I can’t just get rid of it.

I feel like they got popular here a year or two ago. I like them because they do keep drinks cold, fit in car cupholders, and don’t leak. My kids keep stealing them though.

I've been using my two Owalas (I alternate) for a couple of years. I never used a Stanley because they just seem too big. What I love about the Owala is that you can either use the straw and sip, or tilt up like a cup. I got DS and his GF Owalas for Christmas and she said something about them being "in". I've only seen one other person around me using one, but then I don't get out much.

They are popular here too. So are Stanley's and Hydro Flask.

Idk but I have had mine for years! I like them it just that you really got to make sure you clean them. The lid part gets moldy if you don’t and it’s hard to get rid of it.

DH got a two pack of those 40 ounce insulated Thermoflasks from Costco and he loves them. What I don’t like is that if I want to fill it with water from the water cooler, I have to stand there and awkwardly hold the jug while it fills instead of setting it on the grate/ledge like I can with my 24 oz Tervis tumbler or my 28 oz Thermoflask bottles.

I love Owala water bottles. I first heard about them here several years ago. That is pretty much all I use when I go to games. At home I use old bubba envy water bottles (probably also heard about them here many moons ago). I have a Stanley knockoff and it is too tall for me to use in the car but I wouldn’t mind one of the smaller Stanley cups since it has a handle where my bubba does not.

I love my Owala free sip because of the enclosed straw - it comes in handy at work, because I know no one is accidentally touching the straw. I also like how I can open it to drink without touching the straw. I don't love how it doesn't fit in my car cup holder. They just released two new versions with the free sip lid earlier this week - one is an tumbler style and the other is like the free sip, but with a larger bucket handle (the sway). I just ordered the 30 oz sway in Sea Captain (a pretty navy) - I feel like the tumblers are big and awkward for me, and the 40 oz sway looked a little too big. I figured I'll use the older free sip at work, since it's been knocked around and a little dented, and I'll use the newer one for days I know I'll be in the car a bunch. owalalife.com/collections/freesip-tumbler-sway

The 24oz fits my cup holders but I bought a cheap cup holder adapter on Amazon that works with the bigger one.

The clerk at Dick's told me she places her 32 oz free sip upside down in the cup holder, but I'm afraid of putting that much pressure on the lid. Here's hoping I like the new sway! Otherwise, I'll be asking you about your adapter!!!

I replaced our Tervis with Swig... there are so many pretty designs... they are way more convenient for me then stanleys or other "big" type cups... ice doesnt last all day... but I refill it often.. I can keep cold water through the night..
they are pretty!! lol

My daughter turned me on to Owalas and I love them. I have a 32 oz that I keep in my work bag and a 24 oz that fits in my cup holder.

I continue to use the Swell water bottles that I bought a few years ago and don’t see a need to replace them. I do have a Yeti version of the big Stanley only because it fits in the handlebars of my Peloton bike.
