I've kept my nails now for a few months without breaking- just trimming as needed. Well, today I look at my thumb and see that the polish is cracked-ugh. Yep- it's broken. It's way down and there's no way to cut the nail off straight. I don't want to cut them! Back in the day, I would use super glue to salvage one until it grew out a little. So, is there a miracle glue or something to keep it a while longer?

Yes!
Nail glue and a tea bag is a miracle worker.
There's tons of YouTube videos on the tea bag method.
Let me see if I can find one.

Second the tea bag method. You can also try Orly Nail Rescue, I think it's called, next time you get near a Sally's. It uses nail glue and acrylic powder that you dip the nail into and then buff smooth, it's really easy. Sometimes I get sick of maintaining the repairs and just glue a fake nail onto the broken one until it grows out enough to cut them all down. I have a low break right now that I need to repair, was just going to get a tea bag and fix it
