So in the middle of the night, this mom...I mean leprechaun realized that she didn't do any pranks in the house for the kids. She, I mean he, went into the living room turned pictures upside down, made the toilet water green, dyed the milk green and hung St. Patty's day things all over the house. As she (he) was headed back to bed, he had a wonderful idea to draw mustaches on the children. I...I mean he, may have have grabbed a marker in his sleepy state and not realized it was permanent....oops. I guess the children will now be walking around for days with big green permanent mustaches and beards on their faces.

We didn't do Leprechaun pranks- wish I'd heard of it when kids were younger.

Ours dyed the toilet water green and left gold foot prints on the toilet seat...again. That's about it though, slacker leprechaun...

That is so funny.....
Years ago, when I was taking our DS (who was probably 6 or 7) to an eye exam. We were in the elevator of the parking garage waiting for it to come to our floor. Right between two elevators was a small garbage can with a plastic bag liner. Well, we were just standing there waiting, and someone came in from the parking garage and rush of air rattled the bag in the can. DS jumped back and said "Oh!"--he then crept forward slowly and peeked into the can--he turned to me with an expression of relief and said "I thought it was a Leprechaun!!"--his eyes were like saucers.
That same parking garage is for our local medical center, so you can image...sometimes I am going there for not very fun reasons, and I see the garbage can and it still makes me laugh all these years later!
Happy St. Patrick's Day All!!

Tonight when I was helping DD get ready for bed, she said, "Some of the kids at school said a leprechaun came and messed up their houses today. I hope leprechauns don't mess up OUR house next year." I told her I didn't think she needed to worry because we're not Irish so the leprechauns don't know where we live! <---------- bullet dodged!

I told her I didn't think she needed to worry because we're not Irish so the leprechauns don't know where we live! <---------- bullet dodged! My husbands grandparents on his dad's side actually came from Ireland, so I feel we need to do something. My DH doesn't do a lot of the typical traditions, we didn't have corned beef and cabbage (we had spaghetti and meatballs...LOL) but we all wear green and celebrate a little. The "leprechaun" doesn't do too much to mess up the house. Because he knows I'm the one who has to clean it up. Some artwork was turned upside down and he hung a few of the boys things they planned to wear around the house. Hats, boas and big gigantic bow ties. Easy peasy and nothing much to "clean up". LOL

In our K-1 classroom, a naughty leprechaun made a visit. He turned the toilet water green, knocked over a bookshelf, left books all over the floor and also put green & white sprinkles on the tables. The kids loved it and talked about it all day. It never occurred to me to do the same at home when my kids were little! Drats!

What a fun idea! I've never actually done anything to celebrate St Patrick's day before, despite being a little Irish. Would have loved to see your kids faces when they discovered the mustaches. Cute kids!

That leprechaun did a fab job with the facial hair.
I loved playing little pranks on ds when he was little. He loved it.
