Anyone have kids that went there? Heading down Monday for orientation and wondering what there is to do in the area. Also, we will get a room in August for move in weekend and looking for hotel suggestions.

we have stayed in the Courtyard on 7611 Scott Padgett Parkway, Concord, NC, 28027 and it was nice. We went to a neat restaurant in Kannopolis called Crispy's where bacon is the feature on everything! link
Don't stay at the Quality Inn Airport, very run down. And if the Panthers are playing in town, it might be harder to get a room in August. They are home August 9th and 31st. |

When we go to Charlotte we enjoy going to the South Park Mall.. and our favorite restaurant is the Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar.
We go to the theatre downtown about every other month and always find great restaurants downtown.
