I confessed to owning a couple well I want another one. Tomorrow BFF and I are going to thrift stores and the two second hand stores where I take clothing to look there. I think I want something in another colour. I have several dresses that I wear during the summer that look great with denim jackets. I am kind of at a loss what colour to go for. I am shopping at a good time of year. I have about 3 blouses that are perfect with denim jackets as well. I just need something new. The reason we are looking second hand is I got spoiled with the newest one being RL and i got it for $10. I have a very cheap budget!
Anyone have any suggestions? I am 5' tall and not skinny. I wish I knew what I wanted.

I love that sort of faded red color of denim -- especially for a denim jacket. Oh that sounds promising. I will keep that in mind. Any thoughts on beige/brown/taupe or something earth toned? Ever seen one? |

For your height I would get a cropped Jean jacket, Stick with cropped? The other two I own are cropped. The one I wore last night looked really cool with the blouse i was wearing. |

I love Jean jackets! I have dark denim and black, plus a light denim a friend gave me. I wanted white but dd told me no. Too many Jean jackets. 😂

Well since you already have two cropped ones you could go with a full length one I suppose. I just personally like cropped on shorter people. I wish I could do a cropped but I'm 5'9 and feel it looks weird on me. Wear whatever makes you feel good! |

Do you have Costco? Ours has these great ones that are very soft and stretchy. They have denim, gray and white. Buffalo something is the brand and they are $19. I bought the white but haven’t worn it yet. I also recently picked up a pink one from the Loft during their last sale...it’s a darker rose pink.

Do you have Costco? Ours has these great ones that are very soft and stretchy. They have denim, gray and white. Buffalo something is the brand and they are $19. I bought the white but haven’t worn it yet. I also recently picked up a pink one from the Loft during their last sale...it’s a darker rose pink. There is a Loft in Vancouver as I think I passed one at the mall there. I would love a pink one!!! |

If you are thrift shopping I would just look and see what they have at the store you go to. Look for something with a different cut or color than whAt you have.
I have an older denim jacket that I got at goodwill a few years ago. I wanted something darker so bought one at Macy’s last week and then found a cheaper one at TJMaxx yesterday that I thought was the same color. The one from TJMaxx fits slightly better but the color is similar to the old one. So now I can’t decide which to keep!

I have a pink one and a white one. I really, really love the pink one. I got it a few years ago from Coldwater Creek. It has a bit of stretch to it, so it retains its color nicely and is comfortable to wear.
My experience with thrifting is to go in with no expectations. As soon as I go looking for something in particular, I’m disappointed when I can’t find what I’m looking for. Best to go in tomorrow just looking for a good fit and something different.

I bought the Costco jacket for the challenge. I loved that it had silver instead of the typical brass buttons since I changed the metallic from gold to silver. I might need to head over to see if they have a gray one.

I have four - three Levi’s brand (I love a good classic) and a rose pink one I got at Target a few years ago. My Levi’s ones are denim, white, and a deep burgundy red velvet-like one I picked up last year at Fred Meyer. That’s my favorite and the one I wear the most. Have fun hunting  . |

Thanks Delta Dawn for starting this thread. I now have 2 of the Costco jackets on order.  I have a blue denim jean jacket from years ago that I love even though it is kind of thick and warm. I pretty much stopped wearing it because I thought they were out of fashion. I am so glad to hear that others love and wear them too. I ordered mine on line because I have been to Costco three times in the last two days. Ha. We were there yesterday morning where my DH saw they had green emerald arborvitae on sale for $25.99. He really wanted to buy some, but we have the wrong car. So we had to go back again last night with our van and we bought four of them. Today I am sitting here waiting for a delivery, so I couldn’t go back and check the jackets out in person. I usually like the things I buy from Costco, so I took a chance and just went ahead and ordered them online. I ordered the gray and white. I can’t wait to get them. The weather has been perfect for a light jacket. |

I have a dark blue denim from Old Navy last year. My old one was too big! Yea! White denim that is short sleeved, aqua blue denim I got at JC Penny's a couple years ago, and a mustard yellow I got at Dress Barn a few years ago. Pink or Coral is on my wish list.
