Just off the top of my head.. LOL... Finding the right bag is difficult isn't it?

Not sure if it's businesslike enough, but I have an LL Bean canvas tote that stands up on it's own. No pockets, but I put an organizer inside. I had the large--it was big enough to fit my paperwork, plus an organizer. I worked for a theatre and carried my office with me during productions. I had everything in there from tape, scissors, Sharpies, flashlights, a sewing kit, all my allergy forms, rosters, etc. It was heavy, but it was a huge bag and FULL.

I would do a Dooney nylon bag. I bought the crossbody hobo in nylon for my summer purse and love it. Not big enough for your purposes.... but can tell you that it stands up on its own very nicely (much to my surprise). It looks like there are quite a few other choices that would be big enough though . Their nylon is heavy and doesn’t have a sheen like a backpack or cheaper nylon tote. The colors are pretty, and they have nice neutrals, and the leather trim makes them all look a bit dressier IMO.
