The pain in her leg became unbearable again today, she's been scanned for a clot and nothing and had x-rays to see if she had a broken hip or any kind of fracture/crack/chip anywhere.
Nothing is showing up so the doctors are a bit baffled, she's staying in for more tests tomorrow then possibly treatment. I left her sleeping and pain-free for now.
If you have any good thoughts etc to spare they would be greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry. I hope that they can get to the bottom of the problem.
In the meantime try make the most of the respite - get out of the house tomorrow for a while if you can!

Prayer for her. Hug for you.
A friend had a hairline fracture in her hip that went undiagnosed and gave her pain. It was barely visible in the xray, so didn't show up at first. Perhaps she has a similar fracture in her leg.

Hate to hear this, sounded like your Mum was doing better. Hope her Doctors can find the reason for the pain and get her on the road to recovery. Hugs...

I’m sorry to hear this lainey but you know mum is as comfortable as possible and resting. Give yourself a break and take some me time so you are refreshed mentally and physically for when she is discharged. I hope they find out what the problem is soon. |

Don’t beat yourself up. Taking care of elders can be frustrating.
When I was caring for my dad, he was involved in an a car accident and received a concussion and face lacerations. The hospital checked him out and made sure he was able to walk, then released him at approximately 9 pm. As we were walking up the ramp to his house he started screaming about his wrist killing him. I tried to blow it off until morning, but he wasn’t having it. I took him to the hospital in our town and his wrist was broken. He never mentioned his wrist at the other hospital. I felt bad, because my first thought was that he was yanking my chain. We are all human and are doing the best we can.

Oh kitten, I'm so sorry she is hurting. I wonder if it's a hairline fracture that they are having trouble seeing on x-ray. I hope they can get it figured out soon. Wishing her the very best care while she is in hospital.
For you I wish you peace as you continue to deal with an aging parent. You have been a rock star for your mom, she is lucky to have such a lovely caring daughter. You keep on being you, you're doing a super job of it.

Sometimes stress fractures are hard to detect even with xrays. Hoping they will figure it out soon and are able to help her manage her pain.

I am also sending them to you. You have done and gone through so much with her, and while it seems that some days it is not so evident to you...you are a wonderful daughter. You have certainly sacrificed for her well being, and I call that a great daughter. I hope your mom is feeling better soon.
