So DH, DS and I went out for a meal yesterday evening. The restaurant wasn’t busy so we had a table for 6 although there were only three of us. A party of 6 adults and two preschoolers were at the next table.
Between courses, DH went to the bathroom, a lady sitting right behind him turned around and placed her dirty plate at his place setting!!
I told her that was my husbands place and to keep it on her own table. She attempted to push it over to an empty spot at our table. Fortunately the eagle eyed waitress saw what was happening and came over to take her plate.
I am often astounded at the way people behave in public. Boundaries people, boundaries.

Wow, just wow! I'm pretty easy going but that would send me right over the edge and I would be in her face stopping that shit immediately.

Astonishingly rude! Shocking. Makes you really curious as to the thought process behind it.

It would have been bad enough if she put her plate at an empty unused place at your table, but to actually put it at your husband's place is really weird and rude.

Wow! How could anyone think that it’s ok to put your dirty dishes on someone else’s table?!

That is crazy! If I didn't want a dish at my table, I would have waved down the waitress/waiter. If I couldn't get their attention, I would have gotten up and put it on an empty table, but I highly doubt I would ever get to that point. Geeesh!

I have no words... but I probably would've had a few for her! Usually I would have told her exactly where she could stick her dirty plate, however it was NYE and my DS,s 13th Birthday so I didn’t want to spoil our evening with a showdown. I was quietly fuming though.
