If you have Raynaud's in your feet, can you recommend some good warm socks? This year I've already had several episodes in my feet, and it isn't even cold yet. I wear socks and lined slippers with a thick, warm sole around the house, but still finding my feet are cold. I looked at some cold weather type hiking socks but they had that "squeaky" feel of synthetic fibers, which I find to exacerbate Raynaud's attacks, I think because my feet tend to sweat in certain kinds of synthetic fibers, which then makes them feel even colder and triggers an attack. Maybe I just just get some thick wool socks. Would love some recommendations for what you wear on your feet in cold weather if you have Raynaud's in your feet!

smart wool socks are amazing. They are not real thick, and they are made with long wool fibers so they do not itch. The come in different varieties, thicknesses and heights.

I've had Raynaud's for decades. Around the house what works best for me are the "butter socks" from Nordstrom, and then good sportive wool slippers. I'm partial to Haflingers, the slip on style.

I can't handle wool against my skin so I wear a pair of boys athletic socks, with the extra padding on the bottom, and then put wool socks over that. I tend to wear crocs in the house, in winter, and they seem to lock in the heat for me. I use those hand warmer thingies in my boots when I am out and about in winter. I see that cuddl duds now carry socks so thought I would purchase a few pairs and see if I like them. My family is already teasing me cause I am wearing 2 pair of socks already, but it has been a chilly fall. cuddle duds: www.cuddlduds.com/?utm_source=bm23&utm_medium=email&utm_term=MAINBNNR&utm_content=MAINBNNR&utm_campaign=10.10.14+Columbus+Sale+Begins+%2B+MyBuys20% off thru 10/13. the code shows up on the page.

I don't have Reynaud's; but, will second the vote for Smart Wool socks. The last pair that I bought at an REI store were THE perfect pair of socks! Not too thick and my feet felt toasty but comfortable. I plan to go back soon and buy as many colors as I can find. I hope to be out there snowshoeing this year after not being able to last year due to the unbelievable cold we experienced.

I wear uggs in the house with any old socks. I have raynaud's. I don't love wool. It's itchy.

I do have some Ugg-like boots but they aren't super convenient for wearing around the house. I prefer things I can slip off for when I'm crawling around the floor or sitting with my feet under me.
Thanks for all of the sock suggestions so far! I've made a list and am going to do some shopping soon.

Another vote for Smart Wool socks. If you didn't know that they were made of wool, you would never guess by how soft they are. They do not feel like wool - very soft and not itchy at all.

I wear mens winter socks. They are wool and are meant to be worn with boots.

Yup, Smart Wool socks are great and you can usually find different styles/thicknesses at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. Out store has them all the time.

My warmest socks are alpaca and cashmere. alpacasofmontana.myshopify.com/Mine are actually Dahlgren that I believe I got from REI, either there or from scottevest. Possibly from Sierra trading company I just can't remember Alpaca and cashmere are two of the lightest weight yet warmest wools. My Dahlgren socks are the warmest in my collection. I like smart wool as well but they are not as warm as my alpaca socks Additionally if I am going to be somewhere cold I might add a sock liner for an additional layer of insulation I like the cool max liners but ou might prefer silk. REI carries both Good luck finding a way to keep your tootsies warm! DIane

I found pair of socks in the hunting/outdoor section of the Men's department , I think Boscovs, which is a dept store here in PA. They are supposed to generate heat, with some type of insulation. I also recommend Uggs slippers. Expensive but so fluffy and comfortable and warm in the winter.
