My internal clock is pretty good too. Even when I'm far away from home.

My dad is savvy, but I worry about the dopey shit my mom will do when my dad passes. I send my mom articles about all the ways scammers will try to take her money, and hope she reads them. This is definitely something my siblings and I need to discuss and work out a plan for before my dad passes.

I also have the plate with holes over the drain. I have long hair, but I don't really shed a lot. I have never pulled hair out of the drain cover, I have never taken the drain cover off to look down there. I have never had the shower drain run slowly. I have never put anything plastic and barby, or anything like Drano down the shower drain. And though it is 2:22 in the morning, I did just run in there to peek if I was missing something, and I'm not. 😁 Phew! We bought our house new 28 years ago.
I do have to regularly clean the gunk out of the bathroom sink drain in dh's sink, but not my own sink.

Is there any such thing as classy melamine? I want to replace my dishes with unbreakable ones. My new kitchen floor is a hard tile and I’ve dropped one dish and it exploded like a bomb. I’m newly on blood thinners and a little tiny cut on my finger left blood spatter all over the kitchen. But every melamine pattern I’ve found looks like shit…at least to me. I’ve always had lovely china and this feels like a loss for me. Any suggestions? Check out these brands for stylish melamine sets. Le CadeauxDoveCote HomeThomas Paul Home & Textiles - for trendier, edgier designs VietriJuliskaCorelle is not made of Melamine. It is made of Vitrelle which is a tempered glass material, while melamine is made from a plastic resin. This is why Corelle will shatter while melamine won't. Negatives of melamine is that it can't be used in the microwave and should only be put on upper racks in the dishwasher. I had no idea melamine came in such delightful patterns. It's no problem not being able to put them in the microwave for me, as I seldom use it. However, the top rack only of the dishwasher is a big problem. I really don't like hand washing dishes, and detest drying them.

Shingles in her ear is my guess. My aunt had this, and it took a ridiculously long time to figure out what the problem was.

Watching your kid work hard towards a goal and being rewarded for that effort is just the best feeling.
Many congratulations to him!

Congratulations! Way to be rewarded for all of her hard work.
If they've asked her to come in for an interview, so many eyes have already been on her application. They likely already made their decision. Can't wait to hear her good news.

Holy crapoly. I'm so glad you guys made it out okay! I hope your husband will change his mind about going in. It would be awful for him to get hurt now after surviving that.
Tucking you up safely in my thoughts while you navigate a lot of moving parts.

malibou , if you enjoyed that video, I think you might like this one! Eleven has become a byword for frustration amongst many Scots! 😄 Nothing makes me cackle quite like this video! 😆 My phone number ends with 1111. I like to shout, Eleven eleven! at people when they ask for it.

🤣🤣🤣 I think he’s wearing someone else’s teeth. malibou , of course DH and I can, we both speak the King’s English, being from England. However, I have my doubts about Lesley. Everyone I work with is Scottish so this will be my fact finding mission for the weekend. Two who work with me are unable to pronounce a difference between Carol and Carl so I’m not holding out much hope. Ha, I assumed your dh must be Scottish with how crazy far north you are. Yeah, I know, weird logic. Next time we meet up I'm going to have to put you to the test lesley. 😉

Good heavens, what would we do without the internet? Apparently there are some Scottish people that can't say purple burglar alarm. Listening to them try is hilarious and makes me feel better about the fact that I can't say "regularly". So gillyp, can your dh say purple burglar alarm? How about you lesley, can you say it? How about your kids?

My SoCal born and bred ds23 is finishing up at Boise State. He woke up to some weather this morning. Loads of snow over night and more expected. Ds calls us this morning to ask, What do they mean school is closed? Do I need to find my classes online? Will this count against me in my class where attendance counts? How long will it be closed? I'm not driving in this craziness, will I freeze to death if I walk to the store and back? Do I need to drag the trash cans out? Will Amazon come, I'm out of Clif Bars? Etc.
He called this evening to let us know he did walk to the store and it was no big deal. He made several snow angels, cause, you know, he's new to snow angels and the getting up part is tricky and he built his first snowman. Oh, and fun fact, turns out his hip waders were a problem for the snow angels, but very helpful when he was making the snowman (he didn't elaborate on helpful how 😁)

My husband had issue with the cast of Hamilton, he just didn't think it was realistic that so many POC were cast when you know most of the men were white white white. However, it didn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact, I love that the OG (and current) cast is so diverse. I listened to the soundtrack so I could be familiar with the music, and he hadn't. I wonder if that would have helped him. We saw Hamilton in London, and just about everyone was POC. Dh was confused. 😂
