The worst part is having to go through the hoops of completing it each year, knowing we aren't getting any benefit from it. It's like a cruel joke. i might be misinterpreting your post, but you don't have to submit a FAFSA. If you know that you make too much money to qualify for aid, it's not worth the effort!

elaine, I'm so sorry that you have to go through so much every day. I can't imagine how draining it must be. Regarding your education -no one/thing can ever take that away from you, it's who you are and I think what you are doing is far more valuable than any job on the outside! Hugs to you and your family.

That's great that you both have the flexibility to be able to do it! Do you work from home?

Could he be talking about life insurance instead? The health insurance thing doesn't make sense. I don't know why it would take 8 months to get health insurance. And, like Z*G wrote, how has he been getting his meds for the past 8 months? Something does not add up here.

I posted this on another thread but here goes again: Today I arrived to work to find my (new) boss, a millennial, very upset as he found out today he won't have health insurance. He has been working on securing health insurance for himself for the last 8 months, since he bought the business. He has provided piles of paperwork to the insurance company everything they asked. Just over a week or so ago he said they were close to having it done--he'd be insured. Since Trump sign the EO to repeal, he was called this morning to be told sorry, no insurance with your pre-existing condition. He is devastated to say the least. His meds cost more than he makes in a year and without them, he will die. I don't know what even to say to him today. We are all just upset and speechless. This is frightening--and can happen at the expense and detriment to anyone's health. With repealing it with no plan, no idea of what is happening, and no idea if or when... People are going to die. For those of you that support him, right now the best that I can say is, I hope that it is all going to be worth the cost of people dying or diminishing health wise. That's terrible! Why has the process taken over 8 months?

That FB post by McDaniel makes my blood boil. I don't want to hijack this thread, but what infuriates me is that in the argument about abortion, you never hear about the man's responsibility. It's all on the woman. I'm sorry- I'm so livid over that FB post that I have to get my thoughts together and post later. They turn it around by saying the man gets zero say in whether there is an abortion or not. We've taken away his choice. He's really full of himself, isn't he. My uncle voted for him and shared that on his facebook. I'm beginning to think I was adopted. I took a look at his FB and that was a big mistake! What a condescending piece of sh!t! Lol at your comment about being adopted😃

www.today.com/news/inauguration-day-why-were-there-2-bibles-what-was-blue-t107242(I found it interesting Obama didn't want to take a picture with the box lol) What was that box Melania Trump handed to Michelle Obama outside the White House on Friday morning? It was perhaps the most awkward public exchange of the day. When Melania Trump arrived with her husband at the White House on Friday morning to meet with their outgoing counterparts, she came with a surprise gift. The powder-blue, ribbon-wrapped box, which many assume came from Tiffany & Co., presented logistical problems when the two couples had to immediately pose for official photographs before going inside for coffee and tea. Obama, unsure of where to put the box, ended up handing it to her husband, who gave it to a staff member just inside the door. The contents of the box? So far, only the Obamas and Trumps know I thought it was awkward as well--I thought it was something that Melania Trump did and it was maybe not the right time to do it, but on ABC they showed Michelle Obama bringing a gift to Laura Bush at the same time 8 years ago. The Obamas could not have been more gracious.

Go Pack Go !!!! Love my packers I'm also a VERY long time Miami Dolphin fan - sad they lost and although the Steelers outplayed them I don't like them and they are not nice players!!!! Honestly not trying to start any drama, but Dolphins' Ndamukong Suh should not even be in the league with his blatant dirty play. Every team has overly competitive players.

That's just devastating. Those poor kids, trying to do it on their own at such a young age. So sad for the babies. I can't imagine not supporting my daughters if they had been faced with the same situation. Not an ideal situation, but I would have done whatever I could to support them. Prayers said for this young couple and their babies, too.

I know exactly what you're talking about, monklady123. I grew up in Pittsburgh but now live near Philly. My youngest DD is at Pitt, so I'm back and forth. I absolutely dread hitting Somerset! Even on days when it's dry and sunny everywhere, you can get to Somerset and it's blizzard conditions! I give you credit for going at 5am this morning! Sorry it was such a crappy drive after such a tough week, but so glad you made it safely!

I think it's always better to book with the actual airline. If you run into any problems-weather, mechanicals, etc- you may be on your own. The airline will take care of "their" passengers first.

I was a flight attendant for 25 years and was based in NY. I did a lot of JFK to LAX through the years and had many celebrities on my flights. I have to say that the one I will never forget was JFK Jr. He was so down to earth and mannerly.
