This is a great twitter thread from a body language expert.
slight tangent to the thread topic, but thanks for posting this! he has some really interesting analyses posted under the hashtag #BodyLanguageExpert. And I am glad she's pursuing charges against the guy. He deserves to have the book thrown at him (and not the Good Book, either). Right? It really is fascinating! Although, when I read some of his analyses, I laugh at myself when I’m trying to make the facial expressions!

"Tommy Callaway, the runner who slapped a young reporter's rear on live TV, has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual battery. Alex Bozarjian was covering a popular race in Savannah, Georgia when the shocking incident happened. "He helped himself to a part of my body," Bozarjian later said. It was later discovered that Callaway was a youth minister and Boy Scout leader. Following his plea on Tuesday, Callaway was sentenced to a year of probation and fined $1,000." news.yahoo.com/youth-minister-tommy-callaway-pleads-213224222.htmlJust a slap on the wrist. For a slap on the butt. What perverted man wouldn't take that deal?

Thanks for the update on this creep. I think the sentence is way too lenient.

For a slap on the butt. What perverted man wouldn't take that deal? Just because someone ended the case with a plea doesn't mean there was a "deal": misdemeanor sexual battery was the original charge. In my state, this could probably only have been charged as a fourth-degree sexual assault, which a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to 9 months in jail and/or a $10,000 fine. An alternative probationary term in lieu of a sentence for fourth-degree sexual assault is a minimum of six months, up to a maximum for two years (for other class A misdemeanors, the max probation term is one year). And if he has no other record, most courts would not impose a maximum sentence.
