I have a crockpot recipe. I think it tastes like a restaurant's, although I have also modified the heck out of it (mostly the same ingredients, just different quantities). As far as I can tell, the crockpot really only keeps it warm and maybe breaks down the onions further, so maybe you can figure out how to modify it for the instant pot.

jenjie does that taste as good as it looks? Yum! Eddie-n-Harley that sounds good too. Will consider for after Christmas but am at the point right now of wanting no thinking involved. I might hurt myself. I'm currently on overload. Lol

There are a number of YouTube videos that come up when you search for how to to convert recipes to instant pot. If you already have a recipe you like maybe the info on the videos can help you recreate it in an instant pot.

I really like it! I’m telling you, watch the video in the link for Pressure Luck. It’s after the pictorial. I get hungry just watching 😂 the only thing I do different is I use white onions. I hate purple!

I was also going to suggest Jeffrey at Pressureluckcooking. I've never made his French onion soup but every other recipe of his that I've tried has been excellent! He's coming out with his first cookbook sometime early next year, and I think he's going to be on some cooking competition show on the Food Network coming up soon. He's pretty funny. And he has a cute little dog.

While it takes some time, it is really easy to make. I used Tyler Florence's recipe. The key to making it on the stove is make it slow to get the depth of flavor.

I think you talked me into this one. Sounds yummy. I was thinking of using fiestaware mugs. They should work fine, you think?
