There are so many ways to alter a woman’s body from boob jobs to designer lady parts. You can make your face tighter, lips thicker, eyelids lifted, and add to or subtract from parts of your body that you don’t like. But height is something that we are pretty much stuck with other than wearing lifts in your shoes.
I have a cousin who wanted to be a police officer and needed to increase his height a little to qualify. He actually went somewhere where he was put on a machine that stretched him into an additional bit of height before showing up to be measured. He became a Christian minister instead, so either the stretching didn’t work or he changed his mind, I don’t know.
I am 5’4” and the tallest of my sisters. My youngest sister is 5’ 1” so I’m grateful that I got the height I have. Mom was 5’ 7” and I have always wished I was closer to her height. My son surpassed me while in Jr. High and is now 6’ tall, which is great for a male. I wouldn’t want to be that tall, but being 5’ 7” or 5’ 8” would be perfect to me.
One of my friends is 6’ and she hates it and says she would trade me in a heartbeat. She said she doesn’t feel as feminine as she thinks she would at a shorter height. It also limits her dating pool because she won’t date a man shorter than she is, or even the same height which is just her personal preference, but she says shorter men don’t ask her out anyway. The grass is always greener, huh?
If you could choose your optimal height, would you stay the same? Increase it? Decrease it?

I'm about 5'8 or 5'9
Since I'm pretty average, I've never really thought much about my height.
Maybe if I was shorter, I would have worn high heels.

I'm just shy of 5'4"
For the sake of not having to hem every single pair of pants I have, I'd like to be 5'6" or 5'7"
Oh, to buy a maxi dress that wasn't a foot+ too long...

I am 5’ even. I’d be thrilled with anything in that 5’5” to 5’7” range. I hate hemming. I hate climbing to reach things. I hate my face being at the height of others’ armpits in the summer. Ish.

I'm 5'7". Average height for a woman is 5'4". I don't think of myself as being tall but I have noticed when I am standing in the hall talking to my teacher friends I am usually the tallest. I really like my height. I wouldn't want to be shorter at all and I wouldn't want to be too much taller, either. My mom was 5'4" and my dad is 6'1" so I split the difference. I think not dating men the same height or shorter than you is extremely limiting. I was crazy in love with my ex and he was an inch (he says- I think 2") shorter than me. I remember the first month I went out with him I couldn't stop thinking about how short he was but after that I thought he was just perfect the way he was. When I first started dating him I'd go up on my toes to kiss him, even though he was shorter than me. Oops... habit. He brought than to my attention.

I’m 5’8” with a 33” inseam. I’m ok with my height but it sucks finding clothes that are long enough in the arms and inseam. I wouldn’t mind being 5’6” to 5’7” I guess.

I'm 5'6-1/2" and perfectly happy with that.
I'm longer in the torso proportionally than in the legs. One piece bathing suits rarely fit me well. Dresses that have a fitted waist don't often hit at the right spot either -- they fit more like an empire waist on me. I've learned to buy clothes accordingly. For example, I love high-waisted pants. They fit me better.

Same here, except that I lost an inch, so I'm 4'11" now. I wear heels/wedges most of the time. It's a problem when I go food shopping. I can't reach too much! I'd take 5'5" in a minute.

I'm 5' 4." My mom is 5'4, my Grandma was 5'5" (or so she says, she was shorter when I knew her). my sisters are 5'3" and 5'5" and my dd's (13 and 15) are currently 5'3" and 5'5". Apparently the 5'4" + or minus an inch gene is strong for females in my family...
I'd like to be a little taller, maybe 5'6". DH is 6 feet even and likes to put things on top of the fridge and I can't see them, or they fall on my head. Also I'm tired of having to hem/roll my pants into cuffs.

I'm around 5'9 1/2. I am good with my height, but I secretly wish I was 6 feet My husband is my height. I don't think that my daughter will be quite as tall as me. She just turned 12 and is 5'4, so maybe a few more inches. My son is going to be tall. He's only 4 but his doctor told me to expect him to be a giant. He's always over the 100th percentile for height.

I’m 5’ 4.5 and I’ve always been perfectly happy with my height. I have three dds- 2 are taller than me and one is shorter. The short one is happy with her height and so is the tallest (almost 5’6). Baby dd is 5.5 and may be still growing a little. She wants to be 5’6.

I'm 5'4" and always wanted to be 5'7". Those 3" would make such a big difference in being able to reach upper shelves in cabinets, as well as the grocery shelves. Recently I've had a few instances where I searched all over stores for specific items. Want to guess where I finally found them? Top shelf. It seems I always forget to look up, and when I do I still miss things.

Hmmmm, I'd like to be 6'... then my weight would be close to perfect. Lololol
I'm 5'5" or so. My mom is 4'10". Her mom was 4'7". My dad was 5'9". So I kind of fell in between.
Dh is 6'. Ds is 6'1". Dd#1 was the shortest in the house until last summer. She's now taller than me at 5'6". Dd#2 is between 5'6" and 5'7". So I'm shortest in the house.
My height is fine. Don't really care one way or the other. Another inch or two would be great so pants fit a little better. LOL

I’m 5’6” and I’m ginormous in my family. I must have gotten a rogue gene or something. My brothers are all the same height as me and my mom and sister are 6 inches shorter. My kids are at my height or below. I’m happy with my body as it is.

I am 5'11 and I don't mind my height so much anymore except the fact that it's difficult finding pants that fit my 34 inch inseam.

Ditto (though I was closer to 5'1" when I was younger and refuse to measure myself again just in case it's gone down). I can usually find jeans/pants in "short" sizes that fit fine (and even regular if I'm wearing the right shoes), dresses and shorts can be a little longer than they're designed to be but I just buy ones designed to be shorter and they look age appropriate on me But I'd love to be 5'5" or a bit more. Dh is 6'2" so I often wear heels/wedges (not daily but when dressing up a smidge or more).

I married "up," though - DH is 6'5" - and have a couple of taller daughters (5'8" and 6'0") to reach things for me now.

I'm 5'2". I don't mind it so much when my sons are around to get the high stuff down for me. Or put it away later. But I'd love to buy pants or skirts that are the right length. Knee length skirts are always a frumpy length on me. I have a longer torso and shorter limbs. My sister is only 5', and my mom was once 5'3" but is now shorter than me. So I have shrinking to look forward too. I'd be happy with 5'5". But there are too many short genetics at play to have hoped for that.

I'm 5'8" - I'm fine with my height but I wish my legs were a little shorter - it's hard to find trousers that are long enough without being too long (talls are too long, regular is too short)
dh is 5'7" - it's never been an issue.
kids are 5'3" (both girls but the little one is still growing) and 6'3" (ds) - we have NO idea where he got his height

I used to be 5'6" but nearing 73 I find that I have shrunk to 5'4 1/2". All that missing height went into my feet. I used to wear a size 9, now I wear an 11!
