I had a jelly donut this morning. I’m not even mad. It was delicious. it was the first sugary thing I’ve had in weeks. I loved it! I deserved it. Back on target now…

It's one day at a time. I wanted chocolate soft serve at Costco. It was hard and no one was in line. I wanted it. Tomorrow is another day.

How do you all deal with others in your house that are not eating the same way you are? My DS is 18, so he fends for himself if he doesn't want what he calls my "keto crap." But SO is difficult. He'll eat what I make, but he'll bring home food for me that is not on my plan. He doesn't do it to sabotage me - he thinks he's just being nice by picking up food that he thinks I'll like, or he just doesn't think about it at all. For instance, he brought home corn dogs the other day. I mean, I LOVE corn dogs, but I don't eat them! The only thing that works for me is to make a meal with some part that everyone will eat. I often do meat, a veggie, and roasted potatoes for my kids. I eat the meat and veggie, one daughter eats it all, the other eats the meat and potatoes and grabs a fruit instead of veggie. Tonight I made homemade alfredo sauce, noodles, chicken, and broccoli. My girls bother have friends over and everyone made their plate how they wanted, and I had rave reviews. Tacos are another easy option for this. Sheet pan dinners too. When I need something fast, it’s rotisserie chicken with a deli side for the girls and a salad too.

I kind of got forced into low carb after a diabetes diagnosis. I am "allowed" 30-45 carbs per meal, but I have found that around 20-25 keeps my blood sugar in check. And the type of carbs really matter.
I am working on adapting recipes to be low carb to expand my menu more. I find that I tend to eat the same things repeatedly and it is getting old. lol
One thing I learned this week. I have had a low grade headache for the longest time, and I heard/read it could be a low carb thing, dehydration is a possibility so you have to drink a lot of water. I thought I was, because the diabetes said I should too, but apparently not. So I am trying to drink more water these days.

Stay on course, it should end in another weekish. It sucks though. Also make sure you’re getting enough salt.

We eat keto or very low carb. It's snowy today so I made biscuits and gravy with almond flour and hwc. Soooooo good but such a fat bomb! I'll probably not eat for the rest of the day!

Slight update but tomorrow is 6 weeks and I have lost 16 lbs so far. I can’t believe it myself.
