Christmas / Hanukkah – This challenge is to scrap the holiday. Pictures around the tree, sharing a meal, making gifts, wrapping everything - - - - The twist is to include yourself on the layout. We are all usually the one behind the camera not in front of it!! So for 5 points extra get yourself on there. An extra 5 points if you include a picture of yourself as a child at this holiday time for comparison.

Great challenge, gramma. Hopefully an incentive for me to finish the couple of pages I set aside once all the "essential" Christmas pages were done. I have my annual letter to scrap plus an overview LO.

I did a Christmas layout but it doesn't include me. This challenge was good for me because Christmas is my least favorite thing to scrap. I have years worth of Christmas photos.

I always have so many Christmas photos and don’t do a great job getting them scrapped. Love the idea of a comparison layout!

Good job getting that one in the book, jeremysgirl! Love that cute elf and what you did with the candy cane.

Here is mine without the twist. I'm the only photographer so am never in Christmas photos. The stars in the star wreath are made with white iridescent glitter paper so are very sparkly. They don't show well on the scanner. Festival of Light

jeremysgirl, I love your Christmas tree covered with Candy Canes! That's a fun and cool look. I like the strip of various Christmas patterned papers across the page as a mat for the photo. Cute page of the three of you. Your title made me laugh. You must have a wonderful time together.

jeremysgirl and nylene , you are using my two favourite holiday colour combo's: traditional red/green, and wintery blue/silver. Left love on Flickr. Here is my take on this challenge. Would have loved to have grabbed up the points for adding the TWIST, but I had already scrapped the few pic's I had of me. Like nylene , I am usually behind the camera or phone taking the shots. My kids do take and send me pic's of me with the dgk's, but those don't always make the cut for my albums. These are pic's of my brother's family from their gathering the weekend after Christmas. They got printed after my own pic's and I had focussed on my own brood in my album and these had ended up in the envelope of "if I have time" photos. Thanks, gramma, for nudging me to get this LO completed. I had already removed the Christmas crafting clutter from my scraproom surfaces, but I picked up this SF kit last week on sale, so it was right here begging to be used. home for Christmas by Gramma Dee, on Flickr A few years ago I did a Then & Now page about Christmas. I may pull it out and share later...

Thanks for the challenge, it was a great prompt for me to scrap my Christmas photos from last year.

msliz, these pages are beautiful. I love all the candles and how pretty they look in photos. I think the mats of different patterned papers was a great idea. They have similar colors to tie the photos together, but they are enough different to make each stand out. I love the torn paper on your mats too. Wonderful job on these pages.

Well, I'm not a scrapper but I DID make a Christmas card. I used my Holiday Folk kit from Papertrey that I've had for... I don't remember how long. I actually based this off of one of the papers that came in the kit.

Eddie-n-Harley, I love your Christmas card. I love Folk Art and this is so pretty. The sparkling background and the twine tied around it are great touches. I love the jewels you added that match your inks. Beautiful stamp set and you used it perfectly.

Linda, That tag with the scallops is so pretty. It's a perfect match to your paper. Beautiful page.
