I'm so sorry, I really flaked and honestly thought I had taken Tuesdays for my 29-4-29 day... and needed a nudge to remind me it was Mondays!
My Mondays will be a "recipe" challenge. I am going to randomly select 5 challenges from the monthly list, and ask you to meet them on 1 layout! Today, since the challenge list wasn't going to be finished, I did cheat and select 5 of my own challenges:
1. Find the Rainbow - in such a dreary month, we need rainbows For 1 point, heavily feature 4 or more colours on your layout or use a rainbow pp (even if it's only rainbow shapes and not colours). For a bonus point, use an actual rainbow embellishment as well. 2. Colour matchy matchy - place your embellishments according to the paper/layers underneath (tone on tone) 3. Tear it up - tear an edge of your paper, or anywhere on your page/card 4. Pop it up - use pop dots/foam to add dimension behind an item that is not already dimensional 5. Thread it up - use thread nests/tangles/balls (whatever you call them!) on your project. If that's too messy for you, use thread to stitch (machine or hand). 1 point per colour of thread
Here is my example:
My twists each week will focus on our hands... this week, being "on hand" - you need to find an item within reach to your RIGHT, an item within reach to your LEFT, and an item ON YOUR DESK in front of you, to use on this layout!
If you complete both the recipe challenge, and the twist, it's 5 points!

kitbop, I love your page! I am not sure about how the points work...1 point for the project, 5 points for doing the project and the twist. Bonus point for featuring 4 colors of the rainbow and extra points for each color of thread ball/stitching? Thanks!!

christinec68 - with the recipe challenges, you'll get the normal points for the challenges themselves as they are outlined in the challenge thread PLUS the 29-4-29 challenge points (5 for for following the recipe plus twist, or 1 for the recipe only) Or you can use the "easy peasy" points method which I believe is 20 points/layout. But then you get extra 29-4-29 challenge points too. I opted to use the challenges to make my recipes, so that it would be extra points for people!

Even though I told myself I wasn't going to do any cutesy bright layouts this month I was excited to see the rainbow challenge, because I bought this template a month or so ago and have been wanting to use it. I really want to scrap lift your stunning page kitbop , and I will save it for another time. For my LO, I used the 'Half Pack 148 - In The Pocket' template by Cindy Schneider, and the 'Over The Rainbow' kit by LDrag Designs. I have included all the recipe ingredients. I wasn't sure how to convert the twist into a digital option, so I will not claim the points for that part.

This is mine. I have never done a "matchy matchy" page, but this was fun. I did all 5 challenges and had pop dots in front of me, adhesives to my right and buttons to my left. Babies Are... by

Here ya go, kitbop! I based this on a page I pinned after I saw your rainbow/matchy-matchy challenge. Got all the elements for the challenges I think. And believe me, all these pieces were right in reach of my hands on my messy craft counter! Cover by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This will be the cover for my Sn@p album about me. It has no photo or journaling, but it has everything else you listed: *Rainbow of colours *with dots and hearts colour co-ordinated *torn edges *Thread nest *popped up star

I did this in card form. This was fun! Got my rainbow paper, matchy matchy bling, torn paper (the stuff with the sprinkles), the little unicorn is popped up on foam, and a little black thread nest.

Eddie-n-Harley, I love your idea on this challenge. Your card is so sweet. What little girl wouldn't love rainbow paper, glitter and a colored unicorn? You did a great job on the coloring and I love the glitter oval with the thread nest. Great sentiment! Adorable card!

Here's mine! I always struggle with using rainbows in my layouts and with this being such a trend, I have so many of them in my stash from kits! One down...I don't even know how many to go! 1 by Boy Mom, on Flickr

jeremysgirl, I love your layout. That patterned paper with the stripes and sayings is so cool. I love your card about Limited Edition. I need to remember that saying. It fits people in our family also. LOL. I love buttons on layouts and this is so cute with bright rainbow colors down the side. Your stitching on the edge makes me want to pull out my machine. Beautiful work.

I tried, I tried, and I tried but I just can't make thread balls work for me...and my sewing machine is buried so no stitching either. Hopefully 4/5 is enough to count as complete.

Linda, this is really pretty. That photo is gorgeous. I agree about thread balls. I just can't do it. I love this page.
