We ended up picking them up yesterday, since Ireland went right out the window the everything going on. It makes quarantining a lot easier, that's for sure. They're both about 4 lbs, even though they look big in the new pictures. The black one is absolutely fearless but doesn't make a sound. The Siamese is a talker, but is still a little nervous around us. She's warmed up a lot in the first day though. The black girl is Penny Dreadful, aka Penny. We could not agree on anything for the Siamese, and had all these creative options. I love a name with a story behind it, so her name is now Covie (COrona VIrus). I'm probably not the only person in the world who thought of that, and it's fine.. but Covie suits this girl. So, here are Covie and Penny, 5 months old. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I don't know why it's so hard. These are my new kittens.. they're going to be five months old when I pick them up from the rescue. They're sisters. The black girl, we're fine. We watched Penny Dreadful last year and thought, dang, that would be a good name for a cat. So she's Penny. The Siamese, I have no idea. I've tossed out names and my DH mostly nods, but doesn't give ideas of his own. (Much like when we had our kids..) So far.. Zoey (which I'm kind of iffy on), Charlie (because we moved from Charlotte), Chai, Lucy, Lanie (because Liana Elizabeth was my favorite girl name and I never got to use it), Gracie, Evie... I want a girly name but it's so hard. When I suggested Chai, DH said we should name her Latte. I can't call a cat Latte for the next 15 years. Any suggestions? Attachments:

Are you a fan of Big Bang Theory? You could call her Bernadette.

Are you a fan of Big Bang Theory? You could call her Bernadette. This was my first thought too. Or Bernie.

I'm not a matchy pet name person. My last two (who died last year) were Chase and Hunter.

I was thinking Copper and Penny, but those are pretty matchy...
Our family does not have really original pet names. We have a dog named Snoopy and one named Kandi; two cats named Stitch and Dart... Our last two cats were Smash and Fluffy. (what can I say: our kids named them)
Thinking of the name Kandi, and wondering about Taffy for your pretty kitty?

they are both so cute!! and gorgeous! I like two-syllable names... one of our kitties is named Zola- is that better than Zoey? something related to her blue eyes? Or since she's a Siamese, I'd do some looking online for Japanese names, or other exotic-sounding names: Sakura (cherry blossom), Ichika (one thousand flowers), etc.

Millie (as in Millicent), to go with Penny. Not too matchy-matchy (IMHO) and they sound cute together: Penny & Millie

I’ve always wanted to name a female Siamese Midori, like the liqueur. My friend has a female Siamese named Sapphire. My first cat was a Siamese. My mom named her Mona Lisa.

I like Chai, it suits her. I'm also a big fan of Lucy because it's my mom's name, and pjaye pointed out the Beatles factor, which I love. Fog? As in "the fog creeps in on little cat feet"? Misty? Cloudy? They are both absolutely precious, no matter what you call them! Enjoy!

Thinking of the name Kandi, and wondering about Taffy for your pretty kitty? I had a Siamese Taffi with her sister Coco. I do like MichyM 's Chai Latte though I did initially type Chia Latte. Two beauties!! Penny doesn't look so black though!

Before I even read your post I thought "Latte" -- so weird! I would go with that.
Edit: if you don't like Latte, what about Lady? or Leyla?

I have a London Fog and an Earl Grey so I vote Chai Latte!!! And I only use their full names when they are in trouble lol so she’d be Chai most the time. Hehe.
