I am about halfway home. Made it to Dubai, and very lucky as we were the last Emirates flight that will leave Melbourne for at least 2 weeks. Now waiting in transit area for my ongoing flight, which has been delayed about an hour. I am feeling that they will want our flight to leave, as it is full and the airport is closing at midnight tonight, so they don’t want us all stranded here.
Dinner was quite nice - I had an Arabic mezze plate to start, followed by spicy Thai beef on jasmine rice, with a coconut mousse and tropical fruit coulis for dessert. Breakfast was gingerbread French toast!

Everyday at 2pm here there’s a live update from our governor. His name is Dewine. People started a thing called wine with Dewine. Then someone put out a drinking game list. So today my family did a Group FaceTime and played along. There were 10 of us. I tried keeping up with the 20 somethings. Big mistake. I feel awful. Totally my fault. So we ordered pizza. Wallow away PolarGreen12. Sorry about your news.

desertgirl , I have "when pigs fly" socks. My sons got them for me last year. Shall I send them to your dh? tuesdaysgone , dh's CEO is encouraging employees to post photos and videos of their families and pets. If your child or pet comes to your workspace then you're supposed to introduce them to everyone. I've seen some really sweet stuff. The CEO hosts an online update every now and then and he includes his children. Last week they made spaghetti together. Though I've always liked dh's company culture, this just proves it's an awesome place to work. When this first started the CEO reminded everyone that families and pets won't be used to employees wfh, so don't worry about professionalism. Put family first and work 2nd. He's a cool guy. Let's try and make the best of a bizarre situation. Your dh’s CEO is awesome!

That turned out to be 8:15 and we both thought taste was excellent, vegetables perfect but the meat was tough. I think it was just that day’s meat.

Tonight we will be having beef stew. I already had the ingredients and the meat is thawing. I will make it sometime this afternoon. I sure hope it was as good as the last time. It calls for 2c of red wine. We might be eating early as I am hungry thinking about it! I think I need bread. I have to find the bread maker and experiment. I used to make tons of bread in Japan. We ate rice sometimes but my son’s father liked bread and pasta a lot. Mostly pasta though. Okay, so was your husband rich?, because isn’t bread and pasta really expensive in Japan?

Today was an egg day. I have a ton of ducks eggs and about a dozen goose eggs.
I made French toast because I had a stale loaf of brioche and goose eggs, then with the extra bread dip and another goose egg I made of bread pudding.
For dinner I made eggs noodles from duck eggs... omg I don’t think I could ever use chicken eggs for egg noodles. We had them fro the leftover chicken gravy and chicken breasts from last night. Then I made brownies. I have a ton of cake mix for dad’s birthday Party.

He was a salaryman and I taught. I could afford a fancy department store and I would have bought there but I was not size 000 and under. I had to buy clothes at Daiei. (Think Walmart but in Japan so better stuff generally. Clothes from Canada were weird colours. I would never fit in.

I think I eat the latest in the tribe. Anyone eat later than m? I am plating at 7:15. I usually get home from work at 7pm, so we would often eat between 7:00 and 7:30pm. But now that I'm working from home we're eating at about 6:30pm.

( well American style food was too expensive).

We ate North American food a lot but it was different as I couldn’t get some ingredients and everything was fishy. Clothing was a nightmare. Oh man it was bad! And I wasn’t that fat even!
