I went to my first musical when I was 9 and my mom took me to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the then-brand-new Universal Amphitheater, and I’ve been hooked since.
I managed seeing almost everything I wanted to see before I had kids, but it has been hard since then. I’m catching back up now and have been to a few in the past 2 years.
3 weeks ago (I can’t believe March 5 was only 3 weeks ago!), I saw Wicked, after wanting to see it for 15+ years. It was amazing!
It got me thinking - I have a mental Musical Bucket List - Wicked and Hamilton were both on it and I was fortunate enough able to see both in the past year. However, I still have a few that I haven’t seen yet, but want to.
So, my current Musical Bucket List is: The Lion King Evita (I know, I know - this one is old, but I never got to see it live) Aida
What is on your Musical Bucket List? Feel free to include plays too, if you’d like.

I and my kids have tickets to Book of Mormon in May, but that’s obviously still up in the air. Hamilton is definitely on my list, as well as Dear Evan Hansen and Moulin Rouge. I’ve seen Les Mis, Phantom, Wicked (twice), and The Lion King (three times).

My mom and I are contemplating making a girls trip to go see Hugh Jackman as the Music Man this fall. We live in OR so there is a bit more coordination involved, but it's definitely on our list.
We were fortunate to be in London a few years ago and saw the King and I. It was just so lovely that we want to make the theater more of a regular routine in our lives. We get the shows in Portland but it's always a bit special to see things on Broadway or in the West End.

We were supposed to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the end of April and it was canceled. I’ve seen Phantom 4 times - including seeing Michael Crawford as the phantom - that was my favorite for a long time. It was Andrew Lloyd Weber at his best.

Aida is my absolute favorite.
Sincerely hoping the virus doesn’t cause a delay or cancellation of the new national tour.
My bucket list is short right now because we go to a lot of theatre Hadestown Diana
I have a bucket list of shows I want my kids to see (they’ve seen a ton, so these are mostly ones that haven’t toured since they’ve been into theatre) The Who’s Tommy Cabaret Urinetown
We have tickets to four shows that are up in the air due to current events. Sincerely hoping they don’t get cancelled. I was so, so excited about our front row center seats for JCS. And I’ve already had their bow ties made for every show.

I saw Hamilton last year and it was one of the highlights of my life. I saw Cats, which was amazing as well. I would love to see Kinky Boots, and (I would need to travel back in time) Hedwig and the Angry Inch with Neil Patrick Harris.

Right now, it’s the revival of Company. I was supposed to be in NYC right now and had tickets to see it tonight. Fingers crossed that it opens after we get through this, and that I get to see it in the fall.

My DD loves musicals so there are so many on my list! I obviously love the newer ones but I really hope to see some of the older ones.

Dear Evan Hansen was the last one I really wanted to see, and I saw it on Sunday, Mar 8. It’s literally the last event I went to before things were shut down... I think they canceled all performances on the 11th.
I’ve seen Hamilton, Book of Mormon, Wicked, Aladdin, and Lion King.

My kids were familiar with the music because I listen to it, but I took my two older ones this last summer, and they really enjoyed it. I actually won the ticket lottery, too, so I was able to convince my husband to go... he’s not a fan of musicals in general, and his attitude was “Why do I need to see it? I lived it for two years!” I’m not sure he’d go so far as to say he loved it, but he definitely laughed a lot. I hope you are able to go, or that they reschedule it!

It’s the first time it’s been close (Seattle) and we could afford tickets for all six of us. My husband then went back to Afghanistan so we have an extra ticket now. Hopefully we’ll be able to use them. I’ve really wanted to see it .

I would love to see Book of Mormon, Hamilton, and the upcoming Music Man.
I would have loved to see the original casts of West Side Story & Oklahoma!

Oh and then on that note...if I could travel back to see anyone on Broadway, it would be the original Camelot with Richard Burton, Julie Andrews, and Robert Goulet.

My favorite thing to do in life is seeing musicals. My boys were raised on showtunes and not lullabies. They will tell you that I have a song about everything.
Singing is one of my passions.
My immediate bucket list would include Hamilton, Lion King, Dear Evan Hansen and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. We were going to see Hamilton this spring, but we'll wait for summer. I would see any Broadway musical at any time.
elaine, I've seen wicked twice and would gladly see it, again. Though I think my favorite is still Phantom. I've seen Phantom a few times.

Hamilton. I had tickets in Dallas last year when it came through but we moved before it got there. It finally made it to Jacksonville, and i was suppose to see it last week. I'm wondering if I will ever get to see it.
One of my musical bucket lists was to see an original cast in a Broadway play. I achieved that when I saw Dear Evan Hansen. It was awesome.

I’ve had season tickets for the last 2 years in Dallas so I got to see two of mine Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton. Unfortunately I’m going to miss Rent. We had tickets for April 15th and they’ve already canceled it. I’m keep my fingers crossed they can bring it back. I’ve also see Wicked and Book of Mormon.
Bucket List Hadestown - will see next season Lion King The Music Man - I wish I could do to NY and see Hugh Jackman Moulin Rouge - again in NY with Aaron Tveit

This thread has put my NYC theater experiences in my mind all afternoon. For those who have never seen a show on Broadway this is what it’s like:
Even if you don’t like the show or play, you will still walk away in awe of the actors & actresses you have just witnessed performing their craft. Their talent and their abilities to lift our spirits or change our thoughts & perceptions is such a gift. They can literally change your life.

A facebook friend posted a couple years ago, she saw a summer outdoor theater show, where you can bring dinner or buy it there and picnic and watch the show. Not a musical play, but a musical concert. The show was impersonators Sammy Davis JR, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and others from the era/generation. I would like to see that.

Taking your children to the theater is a gift and creates memories that will last their lifetimes. For my high school graduation gift, my sister took me to My Fair Lady on stage w/Rex Harrison. It wasn’t My Fair Lady, but I really loved it.

I'd really like a revival of Mame! One of my absolute favorites. And Hello Dolly is another. I'm old school.

Betty Buckley (Tony winner for Cats) played Dolly. We all fell in love. It’s a fabulous show that I will definitely be seeing again if it comes to Town.
