cindyupnorth my skin looks blotchy too and uneven but we're wearing a mask then entire shift except when eating so I don't really care. I can't stand makeup all over my mask so I'm just skipping it, so are most of us. It's a little odd when we see each other without our "faces" on and I'm tired of being told I look tired. I'm not tired, I'M OLD AND MY FACE IS NAKED you bitches lol But this also proves how much better I look with my full face on so I'll be resuming that once restrictions are lifted! Hey all you need is under eye concealer to brighten up your look and that won't hit your mask area. That's the first thing I put on if I can't do anything else. My daughter has taken to wearing brightly colored headbands with side buttons (for the mask elastic). She said it brightens up her face because she's not wearing makeup, either.

I need contouring and blush and powder and foundation and lips and and and anyway I clearly look a lot better with all that war paint 😅

Weekends feel so long without all the usually running around I’m used at this time of year between baseball and track season 🤷🏼♀️ Nothing too exciting planned - did the grocery shopping, worked out, started laundry, and am now enjoying some pool time. Happy to not be hounding DS to work on his homework today.
On a side note, my DD (who is a HS Senior) just found out her grades will not be lower than what they at the midterm break unless she stops participating in her classes. They can go up but not down, and she only has one B and the rest A’s. She wasn’t enjoying the AP class work on her own, so that’ll take some pressure off - yay!

I got up at 7:30am, so happy that I didn't wake up at 4 or 5! Dh and I took a long walk together. We are trying to walk on every little street in our neighborhood this month. Today was relaxing because it was flat. Some parts of our area are very hilly. I've been chatting with dh and dd about food ideas and adding to our huge shopping list for a Trader Joes trip on Monday. Dd loves to cook and to go grocery shopping and she asked me if she could please do the shopping again-YAY!
And now it's almost 3PM here, very sunny and 65F. I have got to get to work grading my students' writing assignments.

It appears life is going on normally here in South Central Texas. Just dropped off the masks and other supplies for my mom and bff and there was normal weekend traffic. Logically I know what people are doing may be needed, just like us. And that what they’re doing isn’t my business if they are just in their cars. But when everyone is shopping at the same time (parking lots for open stores were completely full) it affects all of us. So the lack of social distancing here worries me. And I don’t know if every weekend has been Ike this because we’ve been at home, or if it was the relaxed guidelines from Abbot. Who wouldn’t pull the trigger on statewide stay at home but is happy to step in and make a popular decision. /vent

He was a really nice guy and didn’t emphasize the some, but boy I did loudly in my head! Um, thanks?

I've been working on my 2021 Christmas cards! You have 2020 finished? I’m impressed! We’d love to see if you want to share! I should work on my 2020 cards. It’ll be the third year I work in these particular cards But I have Valentines cards from last year (I think) I want to finish first. Maybe a couple of years ago. But we just unearthed a pretty puzzle while I was grabbing one for my mom...so I’ll probably work on that instead. What I need to be working on is our meal plan, but it’s not looking good

I find MAC’s paint pot in painterly does a great job brightening my eyelids and even under eye a little. (Serious dark circles so no way will it cover everything) So easy to just dab on with my fingers and go.

Got up. DH made a delicious fretta that was to die for. Hit Wegmans to do big grocery shoppoing and finally got toilet paper. Then went to the liquor store and stocked up. Went for a 2 mile hike and picked some wild leeks for Potato-Leek soup later this week.
Now I'm pea'ing in the kitchen while he cooks, looking for new recipes. This stay-at-home order has really expanded our menu and nothing certainly goes to waste.

We went outside to watch the Thunderbirds fly by. They were doing a fly over Colorado for essential workers after the Colorado Springs Air Force graduation ceremony.

This weekend. Drove to where my parents live (1.5 hours away), DH went in to pick up their prescriptions and get stuff they needed from Costco (1 hour waiting in line to get in ), got all their groceries and dropped them off on their porch. Then came home and was a lazy sloth. Only thing I've done is throw in a couple of loads of laundry.

woke up late today - just in time for a 10am zoom meeting - thankfully audio only since I was still in my pyjamas. Friends dropped off a box of cucumbers, summer squash, sweet potatoes, and bell peppers - porch delivery but we got to wave through the window Fedex dropped off my Misfits produce box - it had pretty rainbow carrots Did the weekly outing for groceries - Aldis was nice and calm and not too busy. Publix was full of idiots who not only don't grasp one-way aisles but are rude when they reminded. Talked to DS on the phone. Haven't accomplished much else today - read a book, did laundry and dishes and some more laundry and some more dishes...and there is yet more to do. Tomorrow DD13 has online CCD at 11 and we'll watch Mass online. Not sure what else we'll do but whatever it is - it'll be at home

I swear I am not working at all today - really need a break. Plus it has been super hot here, in the low 90s so not to conducive for outdoor activities unless water related.
With that in mind, drinking lots of coffee and planning on building a Lego Technics sail boat that supposed to float. When it is done will have to take it in the pool to see if that is true.
After that, time for more Animal Crossing. My island is really growing, eleven houses, two shops, bridges, inclines, Lighthouse, fountain and campground. Also have 3 rooms in my house and a pool in my yard!

You need to share what delight Reese’s french toast is! Its just regular french toast with brioche and chopped reese's eggs and put them between the pieces so they get super melty. It's delicious but doesnt even pretend to be healthy. Yum!!!! Next brunch for dinner I am doing that!

We have a patio that looks like an oasis. When we are done planting I will post more photos. We ordered furniture which arrives next weekend. I have a herb garden and bamboo trees, a water fountain and daffodils. I wish my mum were alive so we could recite Wordsworth together. That would have been really fun!
