Where the hell do people find these posts and why do they steal/post them? There are multiple people on my feed that do this (two are DH's friends' wives, one is an old hs friend).
Stupid things like:
Who made it to 40 without grandkids? I'll wait, bet nobody can steal this post
Does anybody still hand wash their dishes?
I can grow, hunt, and fish for my food...how many of you can say this?
40+ years of age and not one tattoo
How many of you could pass a drug test?
I mean WHY does one feel like they have to post this stuff? I don't understand. If if was a thought that you had and you had typed it out, fine, but that isn't what these are. These are sharing the memes.
And I have blocked multiple sites that these people are getting them from and they still keep coming. Do they seek them out?

Another one I hate is telling me if I don't support Trump I should be ok with giving back that stimulus check.
I didn't get a fucking stimulus check, Chuck and Jodie, so I guess I can still hate on hatin' on! (Though I don't post political stuff on Facebook, it's supposed to be my happy place)

I hate the ones that post a picture of the US flag, or a US service member, and then state “who will repost this” or “or I bet no one will repost this”. Please. I don’t need to repost those kinds of things to prove my patriotism or whatever.

I have a FB friend that has posted that Pepsi can post numerous times over the past 10 years. I don't even remember exactly what it's about - maybe has the pledge printed on the cans but doesn't include "under God" and it has pictures of the twin towers. She'll share it in any month of any year. Do you honestly think that Pepsi is going to have cans with the twin towers on them in January 2019? If it was September I could MAYBE believe they would print a tribute, but not months later. And the post she shares even has the original date on but she'd rather just get worked up over a headline than actually read the post to see that some idiot posted it 10 years ago. Every time she posts it I post the Snopes link for her but yet know that in another year or two she'll post it again.

My friend's husband posted a beautiful picture of Melania on his feed and had some meme below it about how classy she was. People ripped into her. I just posted that while I don't support her husband, I am not going to judge her choices after seeing the words slut and whore as some of the kinder comments. I was shocked as his feed is usually filled with Trump supporters. I just found it a weird thing to post. I suppose he couldn't find anything good right now about Trump, so he had to work with what he had.

And no, Walmart is not going to give you a $100 gift certificate just for sharing, nor is the RV sales group going to give 10 of the most luxurious units away to lucky sharers because they are last year’s model.
Edited to add that I don’t love Jesus, or care about blind puppies or children with cancer or disabled vets because no, I won’t share!

Or the extreme stuff like now we know if we were invaded Pelosi and Chuck would support the invaders. Yesterday I had a friend post about 200 churches in India being targeted to be burned. It was a story from years and years ago and the province of India being names did not even exist. She was so relieved when I pointed that out to her.
It is amazing how easily such outrageous stories can be believed.

I literally unfriended everyone but my dog so I don’t have to deal with any of this garbage but I can still take part in all the fb groups that I do enjoy and keep all my pictures and memories intact that I posted there. It’s been a total win-win for me. |

One of the many reasons I don't "do" Facebook. Once the scrapbook stores closed, the only consistent way to find out about local scrap retreats/crops is via Facebook groups. That is the only reason I have an account. Every so often a family/friend will send me a friend request. No, thank you. Not interested in the drama!

I don't ever repost or share any of those posts. And no, that doesn’t mean that I don’t care about puppies and poor children and veterans and people with cancer.
And it doesn’t mean that I’m not a true friend because I won’t share some canned plea for caring about whatever cause or issue.
I don’t like the emotional blackmail of things like "only my true friends will ..." or "if you really care about ..." or "I think I know who will share ....".
Nope, that’s a scroll on by moment.
Sometimes it does surprise me who posts those things. But that doesn’t change my mind about sharing them.

Any repost or copy and paste annoys me. I can support eating pasta w/alfredo sauce w/o posting it on my wall.
Also, be careful about those "innocent" quizzes where you reveal a bunch of info about yourself. Predators live for that stuff. The more stuff that identifies you the better for scammers. Oh, Joe Schmoe was born in Dallas and his birthday is 10/1/1930. Great. Thanks.
