Watching the 3/4’s empty arena, paired with them already cancelling the outside event to address the nonexistent overflow crowd, on CNN is making me chuckle.
Apparently the WH has already started blaming the much smaller-than-anticipated numbers on the radical protesters and liberal news media who have scared his die-hard supporters away.
It is making my evening.

The White House said that 1 million people asked for tickets. The arena only holds 19,199 and you can see that only 1/4 of it, maybe, is full.

There has been a lot of coverage on CNN this week saying how irresponsible it is of him to have the rally but somehow I doubt his supporters watch that.
I guess the people who waited outside the whole week didn't really have to do that...

They should have brought lots and lots of cardboard cut-outs of generic fans to the stadium and had volunteers fill the seats with them. Or the blow up dolls |

I read an article with interviews of attendees. A lot left early because they don't want to be downtown after dark and get caught up in protests. One lady brought a mask, but felt she would be safer outside, so wasn't going in.
And then there were the brain trusts who said the virus was made up, and they were young anyway.
Others somehow had tickets but got locked out. Maybe they arrived late and they were controlling access points after Trump arrived? The article didn't go into it.
It sounds like the whole thing is unraveling at the seams. Can't wait for the tweet storm that is coming tonight/early tomorrow.

One local book store here, Magic City Books has been showing pics from their SOLDOUT author events for the last few years to show what a real sold out event looks like in comparison to the rally. It’s hilarious.
Sorry Trump but Stephen King, David Sedaris, Salman Rushdie and Ta Nehisi Coates sell out way bigger crowds than you.
