We are peas. There will always be some Debbie Downers checking spreadsheets and slapping hands. They are such a small minority that I hope those of you hesitating for that reason, just forget about them. There are no rules for this swap. It’s not a popularity contest, there is no prize. I get handmade, store bought, postcard, photos. They are all welcome. There is also no limit to how many you send. One or all, it’s the thought that counts. I also hope that the cards the spreadsheet checkers receive help their hearts grow just a little bit bigger during the festive season.

The point of the swap is JOY. I can't explain the feeling when I open the mailbox and pull out a PEA card. It changes my mood completely. Seeing them all hung up in my hall fills my home with love. Watching our family read and enjoy them...love. To give love is one of the most simplest things but what seems simple to some means the world to others. Join and get that holiday joy.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I actually came on here today to see if there were any threads about the card swap! Yay! I have bought so many new stamps/crafting suppliesbetc during this pandemic and have been slowly making cards since March! (I am sure I will be scrambling last minute as usual though!) Lol! I LOVE participating in the swap. I actually purchased stamps right before the increase but I'm not sure if I got enough and I need international ones so I will probably place another order soon. I recently got into shaker cards but I'm not sure how those will do in the mail! Guess we will find out! Lol!

If I remember correctly it was last year or the year before I got a lovely one from a Pea. I believe she put a thin piece of poster board over the shaker part in the envelope to protect it while being mailed....I could be completely wrong, but none the less the card was gorgeous.

Thanks leowife I will try that! I have used bubble wrap before for embellished cards so the beads etc don't get caught but that would make a shaker card too thick but the poster board would be a good idea! I will pick up a couple sheets for sure!
