Well hello y'all. Who's ready for Christmas? The 2 Peas Annual Card Swap will open for sign-ups on October 1st. It will stay open untill October 20th.The sign up will be stuck to 1st page of the NSBR Board. PUT THE DATE IN YOUR CALANDER.
Some information and please don't hash up previous years...positive only and moving forward please. -You will get two emails once the sign-ups close. One for review and then one a week later with any corrections. The second email will be your card list. -You send how many ever you want to. 1, 10, 50,100 and on and on. -Cards can be homemade or store bought. Rudeness or hate, you WILL BE BANNED FOR LIFE. -Try to send cards out for those to enjoy throught the holidays. Many Pea's send them after Thanksgiving and the first week of December. I've received several after Christmas and loved getting holiday mail untill January. -Pro Tip, start putting money aside for stamps NOW. Helps not getting hit with a large amount come time. -We usually have 100-130. For US Peas about 20-25 international.
Anything else??? Thank you for this, it is a family favorite. Even my grown daughters look forward to it every year. Stay safe, stay well and be nice.

The benefits definitely outweigh the cost. I refuse to let one or two assholes destroy the joy this project brings every year. Especially since I think we'll still be somewhat isolated this Christmas due to the pandemic. I'm forever in! I've picked my papers and I'm ready to start choosing sketches.

I loved it and will do it again. I was surprised by how much DH enjoyed it, too.
@leowife I am in awe of your generosity in agreeing to handle this again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I have done the last three years I think.. four total. It is fun to do. I don't get involved in any drama (which really why would there be?)... lol... anyways.. I haven't decided yet if I am doing this year or not. I should. I will think it over for a few weeks.

Other than removing hateful peas from the list. I have a way and yes, I mean the vile ones. If you don't like it do partipacpate, sorry not sorry. I'm not allowing hate to ruin such a loved tradition. Join up and have fun, it is a thing that makes your heart smile.

I've never done this and I haven't papercrafted in FOREVER, but I think I'm in this year! I do need to get started now, though. Once school starts, the crazy begins...

I skipped last year because I had just moved. I'm in this year - I think with the isolation it will be a great way to have some interaction!

My cards will be store-bought, probably. So funny every year I commit, I start my cards, I get about half done and lose interest. Then somewhere in my house I know I have a box or two of cards because I pick them up on clearance.. I finish up with those.. every.single.year. Last year I mailed out really pretty Hallmark cards that looked homemade.. Got them on clearance for .50 a box.. and they were the EXPENSIVE kind. Kind I never buy.

I was so excited to see this post. I wasn't able to participate last year. My life was just too crazy. I was thinking about this just the other day and I am planning already!

After taking 2 years off I am completely in this year. Certainly have the time. And the way the holidays will likely turn out this year, the cheer will be especially welcomed. I’d you’ve been debating joining in, THIS is the year to do it IMHO.

My cards will be store-bought, probably. Girl, me too. It's fine. I just want to spread some cheer and enjoy receiving some cards. It will be a nicer end to a horrible year.

Some of my favorite ones have been store bought and homemade.. heck too many choices... Peas are a creative bunch Every year we each pick our favorite card, then the following year they go on the Pea wall of fame. Man let me tell you the competition is fierce. Join in amd have a smile each time you go to the mailbox. Even teenagers love it.

The usps sells forever international stamps if you want to add those to your list. A sheet of 10 are $12. (For reference, these stamps cover 2 ounces to Canada, and 1 ounce everywhere else.) If anyone is hesitating because they think/know they can't send to everyone: please join anyway. I do try to send to everyone, but that's because my family's holiday traditions have changed (disappeared) a lot since my mom passed away. It happens-- your cousins go and have families and inlaws of their own. I of course like getting mail, but I really like the swap because sitting down to address the cards helps to get me in the holiday mood. Even if I can't do it at the coffee shop this year. Also, a lot of people fear card swaps because they think they have to make super fancy cards. Do not be intimidated. All skills are welcome, and kid-made cards are the best!

You can also buy international 'forever' stamps. I think they are about $1.25??

I didn’t participate last year due to moving. I was hoping we would be in our new house by Thanksgiving but it’s not going to happen. I really want to join in but....I’m going to think about it for a few days.
