I made my first album in 2009. So this year will be my 12th year. My favorite albums are the ones made from my stash.

I have never done one, but I am trying to gear up for it! I had a "logistical" questions hutchfan maybe you can help with-how do you number these/how do you know how many pages you will do? Do you make sure you keep it to one page per day? Or do some days not have a page (thus somewhat defeating the "daily" part of it lol) I just am trying to figure out how many pages to order or plan on, as I am using a retired CM 7x7 album and I am needing to order the pages from ebay or another seller. Thanks!

Thanks! I do make my albums Daily. I only go to Christmas Day and I number each day. I always add the year to the spine of my album and usually on the front has the year too. I prefer Ali's albums because of the larger spine as my albums get full. Some days my pages are simple and just 1 story. Some days lots of pictures and maybe several pages. I think with Covid this year my album won't be quite as big as it usually is. I hope this helps.

My first DD was 2011... wait! I'm a liar! 2010 was my first DD and so this is #11. Holy cow.

I did 2014, 2015, & 2016 as their own 8x8" albums.
Super, super fun! Love how they look.
But... If I devote an entire album to Christmas-time every year, I will be overrun with the albums.
I still scrapbook Christmas activities, but now I have one 12x12 that I add layouts to every year.

I did a not-actually-daily DD/PL-style in 2012, which was only a dozen or so pages, and then did a more daily one in 2013, so those are together in one album. I think maybe a couple more pocket pages ones 2014-5? but then I started doing it more as a Journal Your Christmas - I would go until Christmas felt like it was over, usually when family left around Jan 2nd or 3rd. I also moved into different albums after about 2015 - a TN, a handmade book, a commercially produced Christmas journal. I have never done pages ahead of time and I have never been able to get behind calling Christmas done on the 26th. JYC goes until Epiphany/12th day of Christmas Jan 6th, but it's not necessarily daily anyway.
Last year I never got around to it. I might be over it. So 7? But not 7 full albums.

I did my first one last year. I used a Simple Scrapbooks 6x8 album and pocket pages. I used numbers from a kit for each day. Depending on the day and how much was going on that day determined how much “real estate” that day got. Some days were only half of a page (so one 4x6 pocket) and some were a full page or even a two page spread. I did a few days at a time to coordinate which pocket page formats I wanted to use and how many pictures I had for each day. It sounds more complicated than it was. Some days, especially early on in December when we were all going to school/work, there wasn’t much to document, especially compared to the day we put up our tree. I varied it based on what I wanted to capture for that particular day. My kit only had numbers up to 25 so after that, I just did a few pages for the days between Christmas and New Years with no dates on them.

I have done five DDs. I have so many unfinished projects around the house, but there's something about this particular project that gets me to complete every single album. I do the whole month, Boxing Day is as big a deal as Christmas day as we see one side of the family one day the the other side on the other (who knows what we're doing this year) and I really love that week in-between boxing and new years, so they always get recorded. I aim to do one story for each day, but sometimes that's just not possible and I tend to add stories that occurred on busier days. We have a done a day these past couple of years where we've spent the morning at a heritage railway to meet Father Christmas and then bought the Christmas tree on the way home, that will get split into two different entries. I'll also devote a day to the new to me Christmas music that's caught my ears and also films/TV specials we've watched too. TL;DR, I do an album that contains 31 stories and is mostly in chronological order.

Thanks! I did one last year - I planned for a page a day from the beginning of Advent through Epiphany (because that's the season we celebrate) but I didn't strictly do it as a daily - I knew I would have extra pages for Christmas itself and that there would be days without photos/plans. I made a list of events/traditions/activities I wanted to cover and roughly assigned them to days.

I did my first and probably only DD last year. I enjoyed it and I feel like I documented our traditions well but I don't think I need to do one every year.

I’m a Journal Your Christmas girl. This will be my sixth year doing that. I did do a DD type of month for PL in 2014, but I don’t count that.

This year will be my 11th. I usually go from Dec 1-26 but I have done the full month twice I think. I use the dates and do it one photo/day. Some days there are multiple photos. I ended up doing more than one photo a day when I started using AEs kits/albums with the pocket pp. I like the simplicity of the one photo a day so I might go back to that.

I'm on holiday right now so I can't count my albums but I'd say I've done 9, 8 for sure. I've only done a daily album once though and I found it really hard. What I usually do is document Christmasy things that happen that month as well as the things I do during the two weeks off from school with my kids. I go all the way to the end of the month so that I include New Year's eve. I usually have to work up until the 20th so most of the month is boring and doing a Daily album just doesn't work for me.

I've done it every year since 2008, so this year will be lucky 13. I made my first album in a year where I was really struggling to find joy in life, and my second one one came at the end of a year of big changes which included the death of a family member and losing my job. Those albums helped turn my perspective on Christmas and happiness around so I've just kept making them. I totally love this project and can't imagine stopping it any time soon.

Zero. I attempted it many years ago and found the daily story to be very redundant since I was already doing Project Life. I ended up just incorporating the DD stuff into PL.
This is the first year I’ve considered doing it again. It would not be a DD. But a Christmas compilation album. I’m thinking I could do one page a day, telling a Christmas story from any of our Christmases.

I've got a shelf with sixteen assorted Christmas Journals on it - the first two are in ordinary journals in which I wrote the story of our Christmas and added drawings and clippings without any "direction", and then I found Shimelle was just starting a project along similar ideas and I joined the first Journal Your Christmas group in 2006. When I started, they were family Christmas days...now it's me and him and occasionally our grown up son and his fiance, together with my 95yo m-i-l. The journals tell the stories of jolly days and sad ones...just like life!! I guess like Chinagirl828 I'm not going to stop making them any time soon!

I do Shimelle’s Journal Your Christmas. Kind of loosely. I add stuff from Christmases before I started. It is not at all chronological. Generally, from first week of Advent to Epiphany. But there could be a Christmas in July event or something like that thrown in for good measure.

I started in 2008 but had trouble finishing them until 2015. I have 4 finished albums, several half-finished, and a couple not-yet-started.

My first was 2013, so this year will be my 8th. All albums were 6x8 size and only in 2016 I used 2 albums. I have a shelf for 4 more albums but after that I am thinking about doing something else or not as often.

I am still working on the first year - 2011. Omg just realized that is almost 10 years! I have all the photos from every year filed, organized by day and all the journaling saved for each day. It is just a matter of time to scrapbook it all. I am using my stash and loving hunting though supplies to mix and match.

I have never done December Daily in any form but I am kind of considering doing it this year in some form.
I have been working on my own version of the Everyday Explorers Positivity Passport project. Through the month of August, I've been recording a good thing from each day - a photo and some journalling - for a whole month in passport sized notebook that I've made myself. I am considering doing this again for December.
I really have a hard time with buying supplies that can only be used once a year ie. Christmas - I just don't have the space to store them year after year. A notebook style project allows me to join in and follow the prompts, without being overwhelmed and needing to buy all the things.

I did one in 2018. It wasn’t really daily but I used some numbers on pages. I documented some traditions, recipes and favorite decorations. I don’t see myself doing another because we just don’t have that much to document.

I have an ongoing Christmas Album (since 2001). I try to get at least one photo of my three kids on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. It's not much, but I knew from the beginning I was a slow scrapper! I wanted a little something for each year.
We don't do a lot during the holidays, but I like the December Daily ideas and prompts, so I can put in different kinds of pages. I just need to get caught up with my photo printing.

How did you make your notebook? I have a Cricut Kitchen cartridge with tabbed divider images (if that makes sense) and might do it that way. Not sure.

I designed my own pages basically, in a format that suited me rather than using any official product. You could do the same thing with the digital stamp or digital cards if you wanted to. You would just need to make a canvas on Photoshop or other package and put two side by side. I printed them double sided at home on premium printer paper, cut them down, created a cover and stapled it using a magnetic stapler to bind. Hope that helps a little. Tabbed dividers would be really cute.
