Deviled eggs are an absolute favorite at our Thanksgiving table. Do you like them a little fancier in flavors or super simple and traditional?
Mine have tons of Mayo, a little zip of mustard, and pickle juice with sweet relish on top. Funny though because everyone tells me they don’t like the pickle juice, but when I made them plain, no one liked them. So pickle juice it is.

Traditional. Just a bit of mayo, a bit of mustard and the sweet relish mixed in with the egg yolk. Sprinkled on top with paprika before serving.

Mayo, English mustard, Tabasco, a bit of acid. A sprinkle of chopped chives, and paprika or cayenne pepper on top. Totally retro.

I add avocado to the mixture. Makes them super creamy and a bit decadent.

They’re one of my very favorite things, so I’ll eat them any which way.
I grew up with very simple ones made with mayo, a little mustard, and paprika. My mom-in-law uses pickle relish. I do them both ways.

A teeny strip of crisp bacon is good.

Definitely fancy! This is my favourite way to do them: Spicy Deviled Ramen Eggs.
Your pickle juice ones sound divine too!

These all sound delicious! I was thinking of going to boil my eggs, but I’m too lazy tonight.

I don't think I've ever had pickle juice or relish in deviled eggs. Ours are usually mayo, mustard, lemon juice, paprika, salt & pepper with another dash of salt, pepper & paprika over the refilled eggs.

Traditional, but they are an Easter dish for us. We’ve never had them at Thanksgiving.

Plain - but mine have the pickle relish mixed into the yolk mixture. Certain family members (children) would not eat them if they saw the pickle relish on top!

I hate eggs. However, DH loves my deviled eggs and brags about them to everyone. They are ridiculously simple. Mayo, dijon mustard and a touch of cayenne. Recipe from Mark Bitman, NY Times

Simple, all the way. Mayo, sour cream, dash of Dijon mustard, pickle juice and/or vinegar, salt/pepper, dash of Frank’s Red Hot. Sprinkle with smoked paprika or dill.

However we don’t have them for thanksgiving

Simple with Miracle Whip, mustard, and a bit of paprika.
We did a taste test one year and it was overwhelmingly in favor of Miracle Whip instead of Mayo.
ETA: We usually do a potluck Thanksgiving. Some years we have them and some years not.

There’s a restaurant near us that makes smoked salmon deviled eggs. Dh is going to try recreating them this year.
His aunt makes the best ones...she adds a bit of curry powder.

Simple. Mayo, mustard, paprika. I’m making them for Thanksgiving because everyone loves them. We’ll put them out with the appertizers like the salads, dips, the antipasto and cheese/crackers.

On holidays always do fancy. Filling goes in anyway you like but the Inlaws use fancy piping tips. If you use Miracle Whip you don't need to add pickle juice because there's plenty of tang with just it and the Sweet pickle relish. For New Years Eve family gatherings my Aunties used to make them with a teeny bit of caviar for a salty note. Scandinavian heritage.

I only learned that Deviled eggs were a Thanksgiving food for some last year. We have them for Easter or during the summer. I use mayo, mustard, dill relish, and a dusting of paprika.

I love deviled eggs plain (mayo, mustard, pickle juice and a sprinkle of paprika) but I learned about adding horse radish from the Peas and as a huge horse radish fan I will never, ever make them plain again (for me lol, I’ll do both kinds for those silly people who don’t like horse radish)
